So the behavior of Putrid Meat is puzzling. Some remain in stacks of 190, 150, 60, 30, and thereabouts. No stacks can be combined with another, but nothing is broken down into smaller stacks as well. I’ve heard varying rumors from all meat is now intended to be stacked in 25, to this behavior being an unintended bug of the food system.
Stacks can be moved around, traded, but not condensed or combined even from person to person or container to person.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

Checked all food storage and compost heaps for putrid meat.
Attempted moving, combining, and dropping putrid meat.
Old stacks generated before the patch can exceed 25 (you can’t add to them though), but any new stacks max out at 25. It seems an odd change and I have no idea what the logic behind it is.
It was noted multiple times in Testlive but with no answer as to whether it was intentional or not. If you collect putrid meat, this is quite a nuisance (some of us are hoarders).
I had assumed this was a bug, not an intended change. I mean, why…
I guess maybe if thralls are eating putrid meat now (I don’t think they should be, I’d rather spoiled food in their inventory just disappeared, ie they ‘throw it away’) from their inventories, then it could be intended to prevent players just loading thralls up with tonnes of decay-free ‘food’.
