There is objectively no reason to raid others.
→ Whatever resources you could potentially obtain in doing so are minimal compared to the amount of resources you could farm by not raiding.

So why do people do it?
→ If online raid, it’s about confrontation, it’s a fight with more depth than simple arena battle; basically, boxing ≠ war.
→ If offline raid, it’s about domination, they revel in others’ suffering while boosting their own ego… Only using sneaky and unfair tactics instead of ever fighting upfront :notlikethis:

Of course, those are generalizations and not every person is like that, and there can be legitimate motives for either type of raiding.
→ While you do not gain any special resources from raiding, you can prevent some loss through the application of the classic “offense is the best defense”, so when someone seems to approach a level that can threaten you, you strike at the heart.
↳ Sidenote for obnoxious buildings that are hindering things in one way or another, you also remove them to reclaim access to whatever they were blocking.
→ And on that note, the one most important thing that can be reclaimed through raiding is the location of the building spot itself.

Now, as @CodeMage mentioned, it’s about “fun” or at the very least “entertainment” because I’m not sure every part is enjoyable
→ I like some PvP games because they tend to offer a higher level of challenge than PvE content due to Players generally being more inventive, creative, and unpredictable than algorithms (unless the vast majority of the playerbase is terrible, which I have witnessed in quite a few games unfortunately)
→ I would most certainly enjoy PvP combat in Conan Exiles, as well as online wars.
→ I would personally not enjoy offline raids, especially being on the receiving end of course, but even being the offender wouldn’t be fun (after the 2-3 first times where novelty of experience can prevail).

So yeah, I can totally see why “PvPers” are complaining about the current state of official servers:
→ You almost never have access to PvP combat.
→ You never have access to PvP wars.
→ The META is offline raiding, and there is no fun being on the receiving end, but also barely any fun for the offender.
