No. Game runs fine here. Pre 3.0 might as well be dead by this point.

A google search will get you a previous version. Just don’t expect support. Just keep discussion about how to work and where it works to those communities, it’ll get deleted (rightfully so) here.

No to this. . .

Me too. I see problems ONLY in official servers! When I play in privates low populated and low builded I have literally 0 issues! What @Sera67 says is completely truth, in single player I can’t log in without crushing max in 5 minutes, in official servers if you have an advanced base it’s impossible to play. But in privates it runs smoothly! Many times said, this update made a lot of my dreams come true, so like @JJDancer I vote no and I wait enjoying my game in privates!

Ps, @Hobo_The_Wise welcome back m8, long time no see, really happy to have you around :+1:t6:

Conan was glitchy and broken before the 3.0 update. The 3.0 update made the game more of what it already was.

Thralls got glitchier and are less effective which makes raiding and killing asleep players easier. Since I don’t offline players, I am usually the victim so I don’t like that.

Also a lot of the sorcery is about how to raid/destroy a players base much easier which also gets me off-lined and negates my hard work.

I do like the resource harvesting spell and I do like the improvements to the attributes. So there are some good things here but in some ways the game needed to improve and developers chose to make the game a little worse instead of better.

I do agree that private servers are better for the PvP experience. A lot of my current problem in PvP is that players are cheating. They can outrun my horse, swing a sword 5 times as fast as me, and jump a couple of feet over my head. I just can’t compete with cheaters on that level and at some point every PvP server I get on becomes full of cheaters. That’s why I think private is better for PvP.

Oh I forgot to add that thralls don’t attack cheaters but cheaters can kill thralls.

While i appreciate your viewpoints, i have to disagree. Selling a defective product is wrong. It’s cut and dry. These are not minor problems. This game is not playable. There is no excuse for the lack of testing/care that went into this expansion. They continue to sell the game knowing full well its broken. That’s criminal. no excuse , whatsoever. end of discussion.

I honestly don’t know.

I don’t see 3.0 made the game unplayable.
I see different elements of the game are faulty/deficient with every version. So for me it’s personal preference, which was the least buggy for me (or has the bugs I don’t care about). For example, apart from bugs I like the new crafters that they give different bonuses to my gear, but I liked the old, cultural ones too. (HOPEFULLY in the future we got a mixture of them :stuck_out_tongue: .) An other example: I don’t like the sorcery aspect of the game, even the slightest bit, but that does not affect my gameplay, so it is irrelevant in this regard for me. I was afraid of the new attribute system, but now I like it, it adds variety for builds. I don’t like how the cat-like, raw food eater perks are gone, etc.

But I understand a lot of you see this is the worst, because it is the latest update, and a lot of old bugs are cumulated or reappearing and the nerfed gear list just grows. It’s like the ratio of fixed bugs and new/untouched bugs is 1 to 2, and that accumulate over time.

I’m on both a private and an official pve server on ps5. I’m just not encountering any of these game breaking issues. None. The building system has worked fine. Sorcery works fine. There’s been no odd decay issues nor vanishing items. I’ve done every dungeon in exiled lands since the update and no dramas. I must just be lucky I guess. I did see some of the missing textures issues at 3.0 release but the first patch they did fixed it for me. I can honestly say that right now is the best Conan has ever ran for me.

Nope. I like sorcery.

My reference is for pve apparently, but when I pvp I enjoy it the most in privates yes! @Darkzombie I believe the worst complains here are coming from ps4 consoles. I play with players that have ps5 and experience the common bugs only, not my situation. So, speaking for my self only, it’s on me, my responsibility that I experience the game so “low”.
I say this because if I could afford (my current economy is too tight) a ps5 console I wouldn’t experience this situation.
The game moves on to it’s own evolution, I remember downloading a game 70 giga (my first game so big) and I was omg, why this game is so big? When I saw the map I was wtf(?) the map is small. Yet this small map is still teaching things . We didn’t have a lot back then we could play the game in high resolution, enjoy the landscapes and fall in love with it. After Siptah release I find the solution to play performance mode, yet I enjoyed Siptah in high resolution again, I dropped to performance mode just to be sure that I can do flawless fights for my challenges. The rendering issues became a reason to delete my old bases in all the official servers and my toons too. I have no regrets and second thoughts in this decision, it was liberating! I took a month break and I returned playing hobo or minimal style only in pve servers, doing multiple challenges and enjoying this aspect of the game a lot. But sorcery hobo? It’s a bit hard . You need a base to store some things and before you know it your base is full of full chests! Then the bazzar or the battle pass are providing things, you were dreaming about them all these years, you cannot play single player because it crushes…
How will I enjoy my new pieces?
My only current solution is private servers, I cannot give other solutions. I play on Wyrms bane both exile lands and Siptah and I DON’T CRUSH :metal:. I can build all I want, I can go exploring without fear, I can literally enjoy playing time as I should. Almost 0 invisible enemies, almost 0.
I definitely suggest low populated private servers for now to all the old console players.
YES, I do understand that you don’t like to play the game “easy”, but from frustrating game play, “easy” is good, really good actually.
My dear fellow exile @Lyle, I don’t know if this is working the same in pvp servers and I know that low population pvp makes no sence, so I can understand that my solution is only for pve and a bit for pve c, not for pvp.
I hope old console players will get a standard situation soon enough, I hope!

I think a lot of PC players forget that console players have experienced a lot more severe bugs to the point of being game breaking than what we have experienced on PC with the 3.0 update.
I don’t know much about the current console problems, but I can tell you this, I have also experienced a lot of serious problems on my pc with the game, lots of sudden fatal errors, glitches and bugs to the point where I felt more like not playing the game for a while.
Is the 3.0 update worse than previous updates?
I don’t know, but it comes pretty close in my experience, however I do believe they will get most of them sorted out in future fixes

This thread is hilarious. If you talk about the things that are wrong with this game currently in detail it will be deleted by the mods. You can’t even say the words about how this game is broken, much less describing methods and details about what is taking place.

But anyone telling you the game is not totally freaking broken, or insists it’s just as good as it used to be, or always been the same…IS LYING or is UNINFORMED. Period.

But I don’t blame them (if they are uninformed) because Funcom will delete your posts if you tell the truth.

Have you ever considered buying the game on Steam?
I mean, yes you sort of need a decent gaming pc in order to run it, but there’s also an alternative where you can stream the pc version of the game to a variety of units, they don’t need the hardware to actually run the game, you just need a decent cabled internet connection
I know that you can run the steam version on poor old laptop using for example Gforce Now because I sometimes do it, and best of all, it also support mods. :star_struck:
Gforce Now offers 3 different modes, free(max 1 hour sessions), normal(1080p 60 fps, 6 hour sessions) at roughly 10 eur per month and premium(4K 120 fps, 8 hour sessions) at 20 eur per month.

Anyways, I think game streaming is worth considering if you cannot afford a good gaming pc or the newest console

PC isn’t bad, I got decent one. Waiting on mods to be updated… it ruins part of experience. (they themselves get short of end stick to…)

Thou at moment, I dont have room on mine for CE, so it got back seated to HD, instead of SSD.

But ps4 is in a inexcusable state. Which sucks. (and from what I’ve seen of numbers, is were most of player base is)

It’s not about that. Generally it’s best to keep the atmosphere on public forums productive. If you are just making posts to seek validation to your frustrations and you just want other people to band up and form a little “hate group” with pitchforks and all… well… that’s not really productive now is it? So eventually moderators close it before it has a chance to get out of hands, that’s pretty much their “job description”.
Other than that, posting “instructional videos” of current exploits is obviously something that’ll always get deleted, because it’s against the forum rules of conduct… and it makes sense… I mean just because there’s an exploit does not mean you have to advertise it to everyone.

Aside from these though, I find that - considering this is a privately owned forum and no “freedom of speech” laws apply so they could delete anything at any point for any reason without having to explain it to anyone - I find that they are quite tolerant even when people are posting very negative feedback.

As for the second part of your message, it DOES vary quite a lot… I for one had no serious bugs or issues either… Warmakers had some purple texture boxes on the floor instead of traps… and my first few zombies became invisible after a while - which a server restart fixed… the game does seem a bit more demanding on the hardware front which was to be expected and it could be better optimized I guess. But it was running perfectly smoothly for me and definitely not something that I would call “unplayable” and I posted several videos on these forums during this period where that’s completely obvious.

Regarding the features, I really like the attribute rework, I have been playing since the very early stages of early access… and I can tell you that the attribute system and the general playstyle it allows for has NEVER been this good… so I wouldn’t want to give that up… the sorcery part… that’s kinda meh… feels like a side-quest and once you finish it you ask yourself “was that it?” so I don’t care much for that… the new building system I like very much… and the bazaar / bp I have voiced dislike towards even when it was in the planning stages.

Overall, no… I wouldn’t go back to pre-age of sorcery… the new attribute system is worth more than the game ever did in my eyes…

You cannot imagine how many times, you just can’t :pensive:. One day m8, one day, my children education in now my only priority, I cannot spend money for me either use from back up.
What a father would I be? But one day m8 I will, you just can’t imagine with how many players in here I would cry to play with, one day.

I miss the good old days when you just swung a sword back and forth like a 6 year old. Best combat system so far.

I dont want to go back thats for sure. Sorcery is the best update the game has had since ages. Now it feels “complete”, although theres always room to add more stuff. But now the main pieces are in place.
I like the concept that I can choose to be a corrupted sorcerer like Thoth-Amon or I can choose be a musclebound warrior like Conan. Authority vs strength. There is also the possibility of agility build like thief, at least in theory.

I like the concept that I can choose to build my character differently and have it play properly differently. Now sorcery has some spells that are flat out useless or broken, and I hope Funcom fixes them, but sorcery is still a great addition.

Neither am I…but when I was PS4, the lag was bad. The loading was bad. Nowy friends with PS4’s are up to 5-10 minutes to load in. I could have literally killed off all of their defenses at their bases before they could even do anything about it.

While I agree the game isn’t broken in the general sense, it’s playability on older systems is to the point that it’s not really a feasible option.
