Questrion: Can the orb of Nergal be used on followers?

I was watching a YouTube vid, and the dude was saying he was happy that the orb of Nergal could be used to make followers look how you want.

I was like, "Waaaaaot?

I did some research and nothing I saw about the orb said this was an option. I know there are MODs that allow this, but I try not to go down too far into the MODs sinkhole. I recently redid my feats, and didn’t invest in the orb, so i can’t just load the game and try it.

Can we use the orb of Nergal on followers?
