So we had a good Holidays time, active and fun, but also with a clearly lower population. But, obviously, people are currently, since a few days, returning from a strange thing called real life and its sub-perk “Xmas vacation”. We saw good numbers in our last s42 run, much more than between Xmas and the New Year. 
I’m contemplating, though, the idea of having FC give a boost to old raids like APFs or iPande/Pande. I see some boredom taking place there. Today, people pass on half of Zods’ loot and often half of TNH’s symbiants. APFs are paradoxically luckier because of items that are necessary to the making of high-end gear and nanos (not to mention the horrible bottleneck that the s28 belt is), but they are becoming routine. (Remember also that AO, regardless of its immense contents, has actually a very limited number of raids.)
Adding some new items, that don’t have to be overpowered ones, but could be useful for twinking, or very convenient in general, or even socially enjoyable (many people roll for Beast’s shoulderpads for social ! ) could revive the interest and fun of players (at least for the time to get them on all their alts, which means a few years). Some global loot revision on bosses would be generally welcome. Like a fresh new coat of paint.
Adding items -or tweaking existing ones- is way easier than making new dungeons from old ones, and could be done while that work is in progress.
I also don’t think that creating higher versions of existing raids would be necessarily a good idea: it could harm lower players, as, if you get “220” APFs or iPande, the lower ones will likely become almost ignored and rarely done, if done at all.
Anyhow, it’s just a thought, and I would have to develop it better sometimes.
