So I found a cute white rabbit. I was able to grab it but discovered I need a twitch drop to tame it. 
any chance we will see old twitch drops make a comeback?

Maybe they will. But for players who already have it, this would mean. They have nothing to get.
The quickest and easiest way for you to get tamed white rabbit at the moment, I think is to ask, if someone who owns it, can come to your server or singleplayer and craft you one.

it’s gonna come this year. There was an anouncement to recycle old Twitch drops. When? Maybe Easter? Would fit and was around the first time it was introduced.

Why? I’m pretty sure that they could make new Twitch drops and recycle some old ones at the same time, if they wanted to.
That said, they did also say they would focus on fixing bugs instead of new content, so they might not want to create new Twitch drops. But in that case, recycling old drops is better than having no Twitch drops whatsoever.
