Hello I found out which official server my siptah server is merging with and it merges with the official exile lands server I also have a character on. What happens in this scenario? Does my siptah character or exile lands character get deleted? If my siptah character does get deleted what happens to its thralls will my exile lands character be able to buy them via pet trading also if it happens to be my exile lands character that gets deleted that means all I worked on there will be gone. What I am asking is what happens in this scenario as it wasn’t made clear in the update announcement.
Exact details of what will happen are not clear, but the best bet is that one of the characters will get deleted. You probably won’t get to chose which.
If you want it to work out so you don’t lose stuff. You need to go to your Siptah server and transfer that character to a different EL server (one that you don’t have a character on). If you want to save stuff (like base building materials, equipment etc) stuff it into the inventories of your followers (note: your character cannot be over-encumbered). When you transfer the character, all of your followers will transfer with you. They will remain in ‘limbo’ until you go somewhere on the new server and place a foundation (or start building a new base), then you will be able to start placing them from the ‘followers’ tab.
If your Siptah character is in a clan, you will need to leave the clan before transferring, and then have the clan trade your thralls back to you using the thrall trading post. If you are the last person remaining in a clan (ie the clan leader) I think you keep them all - @lanier67 am I right in saying you went through this and had to leave the clan and got all remaining followers that way?
If you leave your character on Siptah and just let the system transfer you, then you will almost certainly lose one of your characters (and all their followers). We don’t know which one.
I see well luckily I have the game on a second steam account which I promoted to the clan leader and will have them buy all the thralls. As for the other character ill just store it character transfer and see what happens when the update goes live. Thanks for the info
totally correct. It doesn’t let you upload if you are in a clan. Considering that the transfer is quite buggy, I would suggest to really stick to the guidelines, as so much can go wrong
