There is an update for us however. That update is that the console versions are going on maintenance mode. Linked is the blog where this is described. For convenience, this one has pulled a few quotes that are relevant to those on this portion of the forum.

Now before anyone huffs too much copium regarding the not ruling out of future release… read the first part. There are no plans. That means if it was even decided upon they would have to go into the background and build up from the basement them or coordinate that with the middleware service provider in question, perhaps even having to find a new middleware service provider to deal with unreal 5 as opposed to unreal 4, which the game was built in. But the simple reality is we are in maintenance mode.
This feels like the biggest betrayal. People that play on console, like myself, play unmodded. I, and those like me, played Conan for years, loyal to the world as created by the developers.
I’m not saying pc players don’t deserve upgrades too, of course they do. And I’m not against modding. But the console player base, that have no modded gameplay, would benefit the most from this upgraded experience. And to the devs, it’s clear that us console players are practically an afterthought. Even those of us on modern consoles, like the PS5.
I won’t be buying anything from the bazaar now, knowing that I’m just funding an upgrade that I’ll never get to experience. I would buy into a continuation and update of a game I enjoy.
I was excited for the trailer today, it looks amazing. But after reading no intentions to carry it to console, I’m half inclined to uninstall, cancel my private server, and move on to something else.
To the PC players getting this on Steam, enjoy this, it’s a much deserved upgrade for the players. I just wish they included everyone. Just feels like a big betrayal.
Three characters, map transfers and so on - all fine, but what about hardware reqs? I believe my dino PC won’t be able to run this UE5.

As someone else mentioned in the other thread, that seems to be the common rate for a ps4 to ps5 upgrade.
Actually come to think of it, would the $13.70 upgrade even be valid on a monthly psn free game version? I don’t know if the upgrades work like that
Anyways i’m hoping that once they finish the dune ps5 release (wikipedia still says 2026), that their focus with all their new ps5 UE5 knowledge from that will be ps5 UE5 Conan enhanced version.

Absolutely. I would happily shell out $10 for this. I’ve spent more on GoFundMe and Backers for projects I enjoy and believe in.
The game is not perfect. I can’t think of a single game I play that is though. I see the developers release this, see the work they’re doing to fix bugs, see the new events, and I see intention to keep the game alive. That’s awesome. And that’s why this feels like a betrayal.
Well crap on a cracker. I play on PC, but I’m an EPIC game store player, so apparently, I’m just as F’d as the console players. WTH FUNCOM ?
I already went thru this BS in Ark Survival Evolved, heck, that’s how I ended up on Conan Exiles was because Wild Card and Snail games used their UE5 upgrade as an excuse to resell the game all over again.
It’s definitely sad that consoles are excluded, but seriously, you can upgrade Steam players but not EPIC, AND you take away all of the official servers so EPIC players are every bit as screwed, possibly more so than console players?
