So he’s not real because he… was really there? You do realize this is actually supporting evidence for my theory, right? Mortals come across a giant spider and name it “Zath”, meaning that is not it’s true name. A giant, godlike being housed within a temple, being only a fraction of the true power… where have I heard that before?

Even if you want to argue “Zath” isn’t a true god, there’s no mistaking a divinity behind the being. Perhaps the “Zath” killed in the story was simply an avatar, or demigod borne of the true spider-god, which there still is no definitive disproof of being Atlach-Nacha.
