# Replacing floor/ceiling tiles destroys placeables

**Game mode:** Online private (g-portal Server)  
**Type of issue:** Bug  
**Server type** : PvE  
**Region:** America

While replacing T1 ceiling tiles with T2 tiles several placables (chests, crafting stations) were destroyed. The house was build on pillars, so the ceiling pieces provided the floor. The tiles were replaced directly over the T1 version. The T1 tiles were not removed manually prior to placing T2.

EDIT: This affects only tiles that have a pillar directly underneath it.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

1. build T1 ceiling pieces
2. place chests/stations on top
3. replace with T2 ceiling pieces
4. some of the placeables end up destroyed

Our team is looking into some issues caused by pillars when building. This one seems it could fit into that bag of problems, so we’re adding your report to that file and see if that helps them track down the cause for it.
