Okay, you found a spot that was relatively flat, with a slight terrain difference. Which is great! It works for that.

It doesn’t change that it doesn’t work for places with a much more distinct difference in terrain heights.

The rounded pieces were my desired height point. But the piece on the side couldn’t go down any further. And trying to raise the rounded foundations up looked plain stupid. As long as some of the angled pieces stick out of the ground, they should allow for further sinking for finer control of heights. Essentially, the top of the pieces, not the bottom, should be the point the game checks for “too far below ground”.
