Resources disappeared, crafting is instant, and only takes one resource

Resources have disappeared no rocks, trees, bushes. As well as the creatures and most enemies. Crafting is instant snd only takes one resource iron is one to one and making a weapon only takes one steel and a branch. Building items also only takes one resource

This started after putting a tier one smelter into the furnace from my hot bar.

No, this started after you messed with your server settings. Load up your single player game, go to server settings and reset all to default and that will fix your problems. Disappearing rocks and animals is a different issue related to single player though, play on a server to fix that issue.
