You are right, it doesn’t make sense to take an item that you could easily spawn in the safety of your base, but it does make sense if one was using the ghosting cheat to ensure that other players on the server are at a disadvantage. For example, an admin ghosting into a base and stealing named thralls (armorer/priest/alchemist) would make it harder for opposing clans to craft explosives, flawless armor, and true name seals for use in a raid against the admin base. Since the OP lost a named thrall from his forge (and since the crafting benches don’t lock) this is the scenario I was envisioning with this exploit.
