Remember back when writing was more important than dice rolls?
Storytelling does not require the Roleplay Redux mod, and the way the lack of said mod is keeping 95% of the RP community from migrating to Enhanced, should make more people speak up.
Conan Exiles Enhanced is an amazing renewal of an amazing game, and the combat system is better than ever - so use it, or use freeform emotes for fights/PvP
Do not let one modder gatekeep everyone - I realize said modder has done a lot with their other mods, but the radio silence recently and the lack of work on RPR (which is an overlay, and should not be all that difficult for a skilled modder), is more than infuriating.
So my opinion is: Drop the mod for now. It’ll get updated at some point, I’m sure. But right now? You’re all missing out on a LOT of potential new players.
Find solutions, be creative - we’re writers, are we not?
One mod should never ‘rule’ the entirety of Conan Exiles RP.
It’s simply not needed for storytelling - it is merely a convenience, and one that can be added later on when it is finally updated.
I realize that this thread may seem attacky, and… in a way, it kinda is. I’ve supported said modder for a very long time now, but I do not think this is okay.
And even more than that, this is simply a ‘Hey, we can roleplay and write stories together without this mod! Let’s GO!’ kind of message.

I have been playing RP in Conan Exiles since early access. I have NEVER relied on dice rolls for ANYTHING. As this post said it, RP is about WRITING, not about one single mod. If you are that obsessed with rolling dice, there are TTRPG’s you could be playing.
I don’t think dice RP servers are missing out on a lot of new players. In fact, they are struggling to fit their own communities into these servers and can only pray that Enhanced version will be able to handle them at least a little better. All the servers that are peaking at 100+ players online every day are still on Legacy because they are waiting for some mods that they rely on, RPR being one of them.
There are also mech PvP RP servers, perhaps less popular, but it sounds like your cup of tea and you can play these as some of them already moved to Enhanced. Dice is not for everyone and that’s fine.
Original author of RPR (Noms) is also working on new RP2 (Roleplay Enhanced) mod while Tot is working on RPR port. We’ll even have more to choose from. Then there are at least 2 servers working on their own dice mods.
Dice isn’t going anywhere, it will be just as popular on Enhanced as it was on Legacy. Even the mech PvP RP servers use dice for some flavor or systems and more importantly, these RP mods have more than just dice rolls, they have LFRP map features, waypoints, locks and keys, noticeboards, POIs. These are considered essential by majority of the RP community, it’s the players who don’t want the servers to make the leap just yet, until their favorite features are there too.
And of course, it’s not just mods. Servers need to upgrade their own systems as well, often having their own in house mods, etc.
