Rule #32: Enjoy the Little Things

I have been playing CE for so long now there is really very little that surprises me. That’s not to say it’s a bad thing. It makes me appreciate the little things a bit more; enjoying what keeps me entertained.

Since I’ve built on noob river, I occasionally have random players logging out by or in open portions of my base. It amuses me to no end making them temporary décor.

In fact, I’ll do a sweep of my base hoping for new drunken revelers when I first log in. I’ve set aside a crate of props and clothes ready to go when I do find one.

I hope others have found fun ways to enjoy the little things in-game too.

I play a lot of pvp to hate closed doors and locked chests! Huge fortresses armed with anticlimb, spikes, traps, hidden this, hidden that, on snowy mountains or boiling lava!
So when i stopped pvp, i was building houses only, full decorated and doors constantly open. My houses was always accessible to literally everyone, i was only fixing an easy fence so any player could climb, but no mob or npc. I first saw this “trick” on @anon83039162 s house and that was it. I know and met a lot of people who’s annoyed by this, no i enjoy it. I love visitors and i wish i could insert things in their inventory. Long time ago i wished for charity tables, an item i could leave things in and others can loot to help themselves. Maybe one day, you never know!
But yes my master Fia! This little thing was always happiness for me, always!
Don’t get me wrong, i am not against people who do not enjoy visitors, but i do, a lot!

Visitors, yes… but the occasional mob carrying pitchforks and torches just are not welcome at any time.

Says you… maybe I need a pitchfork and they are just bringing me an excess… that and the jungle gets dark at times. I often find myself needing a spare torch. Those sound like some helpful exiles.

Such a fun and great idea, reminds a bit from when I mostly played pvp, it was so much fun to fill the inventory of an unconscious player with lots of garbage and also recolor their clothes, often in weird colors or even redress them with something I found fun… I wish I could have seen the look on their face when they logged back in XD

My very first days in official pvp servers. I was fixing my animal pen, for some reason i was placing various of different foods in them. Something in my mind was telling me that my pets needed food all the time until they grow. And if i had many different types of food in it at the end they’ll end up greater . So while i was in my pens inventory I start accepting daggers damage. Hopefully i was lvl 60 and my armor was the vanilla epic heavy encumbrance. So i equip my shiny dragonbone axe and start hitting my chasers who had light armors and steel daggers. I managed to kill the one and the other escaped.
I see the name of my dead preditor and i enter the account to see a girly avatar, so i presume it was a girl. So i send message to ask her to come and claim her loot, it was useless to me. The other preditor answers, again with a girly avatar saying that her teammate doesn’t speak English (they were Spanish).
One thing brought the other and i promise them to help them go on frozen lands for black ice and star metal. So o fixed two epic hyena armors for them and paint them purple.
The one person wear the armor at once sending thanl you and little hearts, the other wear it and pull it off at once. So i understand that it had to be a boy no matter the avatar was girly. They were brother and sister. I changed the color to black and he wear it at once . So we went together on frozen lands and even the one who didn’t speak English was shouting thank you friend in the mic. From my very first Conan exiles friends…

Did the Bickini to a team mate years ago running around in the pink he ran around for a while before noticing. Got assigned fuchsia as a color for my department talked to management its not pink but fuchsia lived with it

My dearest Fia, this is not a rant, either a protest, just my melancholy for a “little” enjoy i had in this game that i will miss a lot! Since i watched the stream for no reason that i can explain i started taking some pictures of it.

I recall watching a show once where somebody had developed a way to predict eclipses in the ancient past and predicted one on the next full moon. I knew his prediction was utter nonsense because eclipses can never happen during a full moon, they can only happen during a new moon. So it caused me no small amount of agitation when his prediction came true. Stupid show not understanding how eclipses work…
