So everyone left the server we were being transferred too. My clan mates want to choose a good server to go with all their stuff. Can this be done? if they transfer by the normal process they would have to throw most of their stuff out to be un-encumbered. Right now they are idling, not wanting to start on a dead server where the only player has apparently got infinite explosive jars.
Anyway, we were told we were being “trimmed” to be moved to a server with more players, but those original players had all left by the time our original server was trimmed. Two or three new players came on, but they too left when a new player arrived by transfer with what seemed like endless bombs. They said he/she was hacking, I have no idea. He/she raided all our bases in one night and stole everything we had brought so myself and another clan mate just said heck with it and transferred to a PvE- C server. But the rest of my clan should not be forced to transfer to an empty server.
I suppose nothing can be done about this. Sounds like a lot of coding. For now my lost clan mates will just start over with new characters. but if it could be enabled to allow us to transfer again over-encumbered just one time, this would be fair enough to players who ended up on empty servers.
You better hurry. In just a few days they will disable server transfers all together.
For a clan here is what you do…
The clan leader must stay back. The others load up what they can…restat to 50 encumbrance. SL light gloves, boots of serpent, inn keeper shirt and pants and bearer pack with a t4 thrall should give you around 76 total encumbrance. Load up to 99 and move out.
If you are on a pvp server, sorry about your luck. It’s a one way trip with the 72 hour cool down Clan leader should just follow. If PVE, you got 3 transfers per person with the 24 hour cool down. Enough to go to the new server, unload in you makeshift base, go back, load up again (since clan leader is still there) and go with new load to the new home.
If any of you token out, you are fubar but still fill out the Zendesk.
No hurry. The wheel of Funcom turns slowly. Most of the good stuff (Serka of the Silk) got offline raided by a player who transferred in with unlimited bombs. Well unlimited enough to gut seven large bases in a few days (5).
The solo player’s clan has a base of networked roads covering the area from Black Keep/Bridge of the Betrayer to Mounds of the Dead and that mountain ridge in between on a PvE-C server. They built it all in 2 weeks. They seem to keep a PvP server clan and a PvE-C clan. heh, pretty good detective work eh? Just need to find their home PvP server. But policing Exiles is not my job, I am just going to PvE-C from now on.
However, I will say Funcom should start a fourth server type that does not allow Offline Raiding, which IMHO is an exploit of some glaring game bugs. Just online PvP raids (both teams online). I bet those would fill up fast.
