After the new patch, this is now the error code when starting my server. but it is only when trying to load up my backup. If i wipe the server it works fine. But if i have to do that, I’m done with Conan.

I’m wondering, if i switch my server to the Testive version, would it load fine? Since I’m sure all this was tested and working before it was pushed Live.
Here’s my updated list. Includes some modded items too:

My server back up and running with Pippi, AoC, EEWA and 20+ other mods. Unsure why Desert Berries and Highland Berries were crashing the server on start-up. Maybe due to stacking.
I think that sums up a lot of feelings I have been hearing and feeling myself.
Rightly or wrongly folks have put in 100’s of hours making mods or designing servers and so forth. If that cant be recovered then its a case of why bother? Leave a nasty review and off they will go.
I do so get that this is a Bug fest and totally not what the Team wanted, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is what third time this year we have a major patch/release/something and the game goes down for a large portion of the community (Well a large portion of the Vocal community at least!)
This presents a circular issue:
“Why wasn’t this flagged on Test live” is the cry
“Were you actually ON Test live and spotted it?” Is the reasonable response.
“No coz Test live obviously doesn’t work!” is the comeback
(and currently pretty hard to disagree with when we sit here again with Servers down or half alive with custom created content up the duff or even hard won Vanilla content disappearing while folks struggle with the new system or to get on the unstable servers?)
Any way I said that to say this: “Why is Funcom so adverse to Rolling back bad Patches?”
Surely the way to “Fix” this is give players and servers the option to revert to the previous version so they can play on and at least make any possible arrangements to back stuff up. While those that do carry on with the new can start to delve into the new stuff and uncover any other bugs?
Naturally there can be no support for the “Old version” of Conan like this fair enough, but at least we can play our Modded servers till the Bug fixes (which in turn would not have to be so rushed out to the stress of the programmers doing the work!) are in?
Why does Funcom apparently like making work for themselves and alienating sections of their community when a roll back would fix all that and save everyone’s stress levels?
(Lets not even talk about what the companies credibility must look like to those looking in from without! Jeez Imagine the conversations: “Funcoms got a new game coming out looks like it on an interesting subject” – Likely reply after reading some reviews “Oh God not interested now! Did you see how bad those guys are at fixing things?!!” Had the roll back contingency been used they would have reacted. “Oh look they can be buggy but a real good at restoring it and trying again later Ok maybe I’ll take a look at their new (fill in the blank))
Is it some Oriental “Must save face by not admitting fault” thing? I really do not understand the “Logic” of soldiering on with a bad initial release of a bit of software. Maybe the gamer market is so much more forgiving than the business world I’ve lived in for thirty years, I can’t think of another product type that could survive serial ■■■■ ups like this.
Try new updates and patches with the live majority, if it “fails” or develops issues. Revert it for the majority then go back in and tweak and re release. Rinse repeat till stable what’s the issue with that?
I had no issues loading TestLive, I had no issues starting my modded server after the patch either (once Fashionist was updated which was just a few hours after release). From what I have seen it only happens to databases that have been modded before with specific mods. It does not happen on official servers with the databases not containing any modded items. I hope this answers your question.
@EZ_Ryder this is how it works now, the potions are crafted in alchemy bench, dyes in the dye bench and the shadespiced stuff in the stove. Firebowl Cauldrons are only for base mats.
