There seems to be more servers than players these days. I think I’ve seen a new unofficial server pop up everyday for the last few weeks almost. While I strongly support unofficial servers, I don’t think it’s healthy to thin the player base across many small servers. Maybe a smart decision would to start trying to merge similar servers to bring server population up.
Yes there are a few logistical issues to address and many would have to “start over,” but the end result is worth it. There is a solution to just about any problem, you just have to be willing to accept it.
Has any server owner thought about merging into another server? Work together as a bigger server management group or just relinquish the admin role and expensive quarterly fees altogether? What are your thoughts on this?
