I have a question for Funcom or anyone has any idea.. server transfer is back how ever it isn’t enabled on any server at the moment will this be something we have to wait until server restart for or will it be added in a later time
I do remember restarting the server was necessary last time.
Thank you very much
Ten cents.
Yesterday the server status was - can’t continue with transfer.
Today server was transfer enabled. So i went for it , bringing 2 Thralls en 3 Pets (filled to the rim)
My character was not loaded besides armour and tools.
All went well, and i was transported to the desired server.
I logged in in a for me unkown game location like some kind of temple outside and like around east of the corrupted city.
But: i could not walk away, due to the “login and stuck rubberband” feature.
Here years of CE experience kicked in and things like “so what if you lose all” and “how is it fking possible always the same with this game” sprang to mind.
No more tears.
Me in my brilliance anticipated and brought a bedroll in the hotbar.
-BUT i could not place the bedroll - “Building not allowed” (%%#^&)
I had to die, the spawn dialog was empty , part from the desert, wich seems normal.
Then the server crashed “disconnected from server”
Tried to login and the server did relive a few times but crashed @ logon.
At Battlemetrics website the server appeared to “alloutt” offline.(as far as the log showed)
(i wish i checked that first.)
Enfin: could not get back in “destiny” server, and logged in at "the old server"wich worked and i could import the transfer back to that server, and spawned all followers “back” (need foundations)
So i got away with it. The desination server keeps crashing btw.
Im waiting at least some time to see - the destination server “up”
TAKE a bedroll to set a spawnpoint from the reach you have when you logged in with the rubberbanding bug. IF you spawn in a game location with building not allowed - you cannot. And have to die. -At that point the server crashed. ( and then save your stuff importing back in into your old server.
Like pfff
That’s some bad luck right there.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will be passing all feedback over to the rest of the dev team.
Let us know if you encounter any other issues after the update.
The combination rubber banding @ login “bug” and not beeing able to place the bedroll - and ofcourse the crashing of the server. it was #1040 destination server it seems not to have been online today, (via Battlematrics)I did not check at forehand. Perhaps thats the issue or a factor blurring this situation.
Note that the whole transfer dialog and execution overall went really well and fast with lots of info, well done. (im from the beta time seen it all)
Im waiting until the destination server is solid online.
[Updated]
The destination server is working fine when i login with an alt. I played for 15 mins.
So swiched to the “transfer” character wich failed earlyer, (and was revived back to “departure server”) and it/that account crashes the destinationserver @ login. “Slow Loading screens/lost connection”
The server should logically offer the startup screen with MALE IMPORT FEMALE imo. It doesnt get there it dies in the loading screen.
.. The serverlobby does not show destination-server anymore as it did 1 min earlyer . direct connect does not find it. So it appears to be triggered by my login.
I wil not try anymore as other players maybe affected by it.
I originally reported it yesterday and now replied to support.
FYI
The getting stuck in place on login bug can be fixed without having to pull your bracelet, but it takes a bit of effort. I’ve had to do it many times on my regular servers I play when I log in.
First step, is if you already took a few steps and are bouncing back and forth into the spot, you may need to relog.
Second Step, once you relog so your character stops bouncing back to the spot, stand still and use the console command “directconnect 11.111.111.11:28300” (replace that IP with your servers IP). Do this command while in your server, it’s weird but it helps.
The Default keybind for Console is Tilda ~
Third Step, do a sit emote. or a sleep emote. then manually cancel the emote, do not walk to cancel it.
Lastly, repeat the command and the emotes few times, testing if it released you with tiny steps.
It helps you “resync” to the server and get out of being locked in that spot.
The Longest I’ve been locked doing that is about 5-6 min. Faster then relog spamming or pulling bracelet if your spawn is far from your body or valuable.
If you don’t know a server’s IP. You can grab it from your favorited or visited sever history in your game.ini file you can read it using notepad.
SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > Conan Exiles > ConanSandbox > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor > Game.ini
![]()
use CNTRL+F to search for Favorites and see all the IP’s of servers you have visited or saved.
Potentially useful information for PC players who might experience the same issue - but you are replying to a Playstation bug report. Playstation does not have a Tilde key, or access to Steam etc.
ConanTheAdventurer, very interesting, i will check it out, thanks for the heads up.
im able to execute all you stated.
I could not get any result no matter what i do/did, im experiencing less of that error when im logged out from laying in a bedindeed.
But its stil totally random. It occurs also when im AFK and return in the game. I need to carry a bedroll, always.
Besides that in general note that battlemetrics still shows the server in question ( destination) # 1040 offline. Official server #1040 PvE Conflict - g-portal.com - BattleMetrics
Wich is not the case as i can login and play ( with an alt)
You are so right i completely missed that, im on PC, excuse me please, forum.
Thanks DanQuixote
To be fair, you were the one being replied to so it turns out that the information was directly useful to the one it was aimed at - so it all works out positive. I had assumed you were on PS because of the topic. Easy to miss the headings, especially in the chaos of a new update ![]()
Perhaps a mod could split the topic - as its a serious bug imo.
Its lasting a long time by now. (For me)
And the info given by ConanTheAdventurer is substantial.
Im not aware if its also a bug on PS btw.
Suggestion to moderator: “Rubberbanding at login.” in PC discussion. ?
@ erjoh,
It appears to be the case this time also, as it was indeed enabled this morning.
Today I was successfully transferred my character to another PvP server(both in EU on PS5) but when I tried to raid a base in the new server(within the raid hours) I couldn’t do any damage to the building..is that somehow a thing that is normal or it’s a bug?
I just transferred from Exiled to Siptah and everything worked fine.
I want to thank you and the devs again for making that possible. Just please don’t turn it off before I gathered all recipes and am safely back home in the exiled lands ![]()
Will be interesting to see if equipped sigils get lost in a transfer like before or if you keep them now.
Have to say I’m impressed with the transfers so far. Nice work.
Up next I’m going to see if transferring a thrall with bugged stats from the stats revamp some time ago will fix them since it’s removing them from the world then placing them again. Guessing no but only one way to find out.
So as a doubler header heads up…
Equipped sigils are lost on transfer. Can keep them in your inventory until you arrive at your desired permanent server however.
I transferred from EL to Siptah and then back. Upon loading in imagine my surprise at being in the Well of Skelos. Lucky I had some resist gear or that would have been bad.
Also transferring did fix the thralls with bugged stats. Unlikely many of those still around but it does give an option other than deleting them $
