If you haven’t already I’d recommend checking out the Age of Conan soundtrack. A number of the CE songs came from there originally. Some of them even have the incomparable Helene Boksle singing along.

Those remind me of my days in music class playing, well, trying to play, songs like The Entertainer, Music Box Dancer and Nadia’s Theme which went on to be the theme song of some soap opera as well.
I’ll put an ode to Kris Kristofferson here also as he passed away a few days ago. Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Kris were prominent in my formative years. Which may explain some things…
Kris may not have been the best singer but he wrote some really good songs. Including Sunday Morning Coming Down of which Cash’s version is one of my favorites and this one:
