So, Im out in the middle of the day - Sandstorm comes and kills off my character.
It said Shelter… hmm, suppose not good enough, but you know - I had a house built, roof and all, and died from a sandstorm. (Hey, I like windows!)
Anyway, I was in the city in the West when a sandstorm hit - you got it, dead.
Of course it said shelter and the NPCs were all alive and fine…
Same with the guys in the tents, at the top of the cliff where I died in my sheltered rock! lol!
Ah… the immersion.
For me its a bit immersion breaking having NPCs just kinda stick it out.
Since this, I have read its a magical storm to purge the player character - personally, not seeing it.
Having the sandstorms not come in one second and kill you the next would be a nice start.
Clarification on shelter - maybe mark it partial shelter, you can heal slowly.
Full shelter, no healing needed. As it is now, I cant heal at all when a sandstorm hits.
Ah, and forget about going under the water - that sandstorm will kill you. Truly magical! lol!
I really enjoy playing Conan Exiles, but this would be nice to have tweaked.
Sure, I can turn it off, but the concept is nice, just needs to be set more realistically.
Im up for the challenge, but with a bit of realism.
side note:
Some other things that would be nice to have fixed:
-
NPCs still get stuck in water.
Used to animals would spawn in water. Now its mainly just human npcs getting stuck.
Sometimes a croc will. And its weird, you can hear them on land like they are beside you. -
starting a new game, the nudity is set to server none… yet, its single player.
I have had to go to two settings to fix this, and then it reverts each time I open the game, it seems.
(Never had mods, fresh install, new game - happened after last weeks patch.) -
Thrall just stands in front of my house… doesn’t move.
I equip him with weapons, he gets rid of them when I come back.
Another thrall issue… duplicate merchant standing on top of herself in the city in the West.
Essentially a lot of small bugs, that would be nice to have squished - a little balance/realism for pve in single-player, and the game would be good to go. (As we know Sorcery is now coming!)
