I love the reactive bleed shields that are already in the game. Here are some quality of life and polish suggestions that would make shields and potions feel more updated.
1. Poison Transfer on Reactive Shields
If a shield has spikes, blades, or piercing edges (reactive bleed), applying poison to it should also transfer that poison to attackers on hit. Specifically, poison applied via the Sand Reaper Flask or Scorpion Queen Flask would give the shield a temporary poison effect that needs to be reapplied after it expires. This would make poisoned spiked shields a fun, tactical, and thematic playstyle.
2. Bleed Rework for Shields
The current shield bleed can feel inconsistent because it overwrites previous applications. Improvement Suggestion.
- Allow shield bleed to stack up to 3 times
- Or increase the base bleed damage
A 3 stack system would feel rewarding.
3. Large Tower Shields (with Legendary Variant)
Add some proper tower shields, big, imposing shields that offer:
- Built in reactive bleed
- A meaningful armor bonus (60–100 armor)
[Legendary Tower Shield] that also has a passive ability called Guardian, which functions exactly like the Shield Master perk:
- You can block unblockable attacks at a higher stamina cost.
- You also recover/react twice as quickly after a successful block.
This would give dedicated tank builds a powerful signature item to chase while keeping appropriate trade-offs (higher stamina drain or reduced mobility).
4. Potion / Poison / Antidote Model & Icon Update
Since we only have one glass crafting mold (the flask), it would be great if the old potion, poison, and antidote icons/models could be updated to use the new flask model for consistency and polish. I’ve attached a few examples I made using the new flask style.
Flask of Reaper Poison
Flask of Scorpion Queen Poison
Thanks for all the hard work on Conan Exiles! These changes would add nice depth to shields and bring some much-needed visual consistency to consumables.
