For reference, I normally play the character solo and fight my own fights. no thrall following me, nor zombies, pets, or golems. I would grab thralls, trim then, and set them to defend the base. On rare occasions where I wanted to tackle a particular challenge, I’d bring along a fighter or bearer.
Now, they cannot seem perform that function without expiring in droves. They never were great at it, but at least it felt like I could keep up with attrition.
So, for me, the thrall change has left the world creatures easier to deal with in my play style while at the same time reducing the thrall usefulness even further. They are simply too squishy to bother with.
I’ve not explored a thrall master build, though, so my opinion is likely biased by that lack.
