[When I go the heart of the hero and opened the chest in Hanuman’s Groto, the pet that spawned is a lion instead of a Silver back Gorilla. See picture attached. ]

As @Multigun suggests, this looks like a mod-related issue. After a content patch, please give each mod a few days to get updated to be compliant with the latest game version to avoid issues like this.

It’s probably one of the MODs I have installed. He has all the hit point of the silverback so I am pleased with that. I guess the lion outfit is his Halloween costume. Thanks for the reply!
I got and tried them all, and had no lion-gorilla like this. 
Yes, i can imagine a mod performing here some magic action. Or the world goes spooky with the summertime.
