I myself do not want the horses removed but again I would never take a horse to a boss fight as I would have rode off the mountain and both horse and I would have died as the mound does not move like my fingers and hands work , reason why I do not play games with tons of driving. Just not built to find a easy way to make them more then deco for me as its just painful both in how I have to hold my hands and how I play.
I do enjoy them for deco or to just have in the stable, they sound so awesome but not to ride but really happy you are enjoying it, I know many do enjoy them, just not all of us, each to their own right.

Thanks, most mounted combats are really enjoyable, its quite a different experience and very rewarding. I made this video to show a extreme situation, without gear, buffs or healing.
Things can get even more fun when you are in good gear and also use lances.

I noticed the video just wont load at sometimes… I dont understand why. But try again in a few minutes, happened to me when I uploaded it.
I clicked the three-vertical-dots icon and selected “Download”. I watched it when it finally finished downloading.

I actually just did my first battle on horse versus the giant spiders down in The Silkwood last night.
It was a blast to navigate around all the deadwood trees with my lance. Then switching to my hand axe to get in close to lay some bleed on them. And I was able to keep good distance and didn’t take a whole lot of damage. Didn’t use any archery though. I have fought the Great Boar below New Asgarth.
But I am going to be doing many more boss fights mounted. It was a lot of fun. Learning all the controls was interesting and I felt pretty badass doing it. It all felt really authentic. You do need some good open space to fight mounted. Cant wait to try other bosses. And Ill probably use some archery nest time as well. Maybe Funcom can start putting in more bosses in open areas for mounted combat.
I wanna try the Red and White Dragons, Black Yeti, maybe Rotbranch in Shattered Springs.
Also had a blast charging all around swagger rock hitting all that moves.

It has an expire timestamp, which stands for: Friday, 17. January 2020 05:09:00 GMT, which was 4 hours ago.
So the video expired after 6hours. We can do anything about it…

I cannot watch but I know the fight, I too have smote the giant hairy creature upon his barren cobwebbed mountain top!
I was waiting for the asura peeps to respawn to catch a carpenter of the highest stock upon realizing the cave is not far from the beast’s dwelling…so I tried and I triumphed! And it was actually allot of fun.
Oh and I caught my carpenter @Mikey

Yes, I keep saying this since mounts were released, people have no idea how FUN mounted combat can be! Many have tried it for 5 minutes and gave up, the wrong choice of saddles might be a good reason for that, some are extremely bad to maneuver in combat. But mounted combat feels like a totally different and refreshing experience, its also really rewarding as I once posted when DLC came out, the movements are perfect and you really feel owner of your own strength.
Thralls are extremely overpowered and for too long this game progression has been completely dependable on overpowered henchmen that can pretty much beat the game while you sit back and watch.
This combat took long because I had absolute no good gear, no armor, a garbage sword and steel arrows, but I made my point clear, showed how good and versatile mounted combat can be, I will try to upload a geared fight, took out some Unnamed City bosses last night.

Watched and honestly: Currently I dont miss anything. If thats what killing stuff looks like with a horse. I thought it would be kinda fast, but 7:20 minutes aint fast.
To each their own… Everyone has a different playstyle anyway.
If people like doing things with a horse and needing way more time, then so be it.
You do realize I dont have a melee build, no armor, a mid grade sword, no buffs and no healing… right?
The whole point was showing its possible to defeat a world boss even without gear, so it naturally took long.
