Siptah transfers urgency

My base has 45,000 blocks built, I have 6 accounts and 110 thralls. With only a week left, the transfer has been interrupted. Hundreds of things to transfer and little time available. You (Funcom) should temporarily increase the inventory and reduce the transfer time, but you’re silent…

and there is a lot of people in your case and they should understand that what they propose is not viable

If it’s not feasible, at the very least they should postpone it until it becomes feasible.

And I’m not even talking about the bases, but the materials.

Totally agree, and as I sait it on my others thread there is no urgency to transfer characters we have on siptah ue4 siptah server. we own conan too, and have active character on conan map, so we have no problem play 5th may CE with characters we have on conan. siptah servers can be dealed by them later than 5may, when they will be able to propose something that works, either automated tools to transfer (which should be the right thing to do) or in worst case, unlimited inventory.

You… do realize they’re not patching mining picks out of the game?.. Don’t have to hoard and haul every last brick over :joy:

prepare camel and when transfer back you can carry your material

but why he should loose that ? when others don’t ? will be interesting by your view on that.?

what is the urgency to transfer toons of sipath on conan map for players that already own conan and play on conan map and that dont need to have old siptah server closed to play UE5 .?

and i see nothing funny in this situation when you will have to spend hours and hours you dont have to try save what you cannot save in a stressfull and chaotic situation with a transfer non exisiting and when transfer on, bugged and used for exploits. i really see nothing funny at all in something that could have been managed in an other way., don’ t you think ?

Well, I myself took my main to transfer to siptah to learn the recipes. On the day I wanted to transfer back, the transfers were disbanded. So I got my main stuck on siptah and an epic account in charge of the clan, which won’t have access to the game anymore after may 4th.

Despite it being anecdotal, I know of quite a bunch of people who are in a similar situation, sitting on packed camels, waiting for transfers to resume

situation for epic & microsoft store is totally crazy and not understandble for me. you cannot do this kind of things to customers.and i really hope they change their stance quickly on that.

well on pvp server i doubt anybody put their stuffs on camel waiting  at least on this subject we can laugh. but yes because of what they announced lot of people did in rush many thing to try save their stuffs i guess, but there was other way to manage it for fc and to not create this chaotic and unfair situation for players just to rush a release the 5th.

if they would have announced the update when they enabled transfers, a lot og people wouldn’t have bothered and just waited a couple of weeks. Again, bad communication.

And you are right, while I get the preliminary console decision, I absolutely don’t understand the epic/gamepass thing. Makes no sense at all

yup this is crazy the way its managed, especially when you know what they did and the new jewel they have in hand that will bring a great future for the game; but they way the manage annoucement and deployements, its just… impossible to understand.and really mess the whole thing.

We are same boat, really really unsure what to do, it has taken 5 of us over a 2 year period to build, and walking away with a single thrall each and a full inventory is a Really hard pill to swallow.

You should not need to walk away with a single thrall each. According to all available information, you can each take up to your follower limit number of followers. To do this, you will need to one by one exit the clan, and use the thrall trading post to ‘trade’ thralls to the now solo player. When the transfer occurs, you will arrive at the other end and be able to place down a foundation (somewhere you choose to start building) and then place followers directly from your follower list.

It is recommended that you dismantle your base and transport as much of that as you can in follower inventories.

Obviously, this is still not ideal, but at least you won’t have to lose as much as you thought you were going to.

honestly not workable on a pvp server if server is not 0 players, personnaly i will not do anything before the last day, and i m not even sure that i will go under this madness to transfer and probably let all lost, but i will never forget what have been done.

Good point, I hadn’t considered that they might be on a PVP server. Yeah, in that case it’s going to be a lot more difficult. If server transfers get fixed in time, maybe you could transfer to an Exiled Lands PVE server as a temporary measure, then go back to a PVP server after the upgrade? (Is it even allowed to transfer between PVE and PVP?)

Edit: I checked - PVP to PVE is one-way. You won’t be able to go back to PVP, so don’t do that.

dont know, but well i will play with my characters active on conan map, i consider that all is mainly lost for my siptah characters because off crazy decision to link siptah server to the 5th may, which was not needed.

I don’t understand why I have to leave my clan; if I don’t, what happens?

TBH, I don’t really know what happens if you don’t, but my guess would be that the system won’t know who the followers are assigned to, so won’t be able to transfer them en masse, because it won’t have a way to deploy them at the other end. As I say, I don’t know if that’s the issue, but it seems logical. What the announcement says is:
The best option for Isle of Siptah players is to prepare for the UE5 update by dismantling their bases and depositing the materials in the inventories of their followers prior to the Official server downtime on May 4th, 15:00 UTC. If they are in a clan, it is recommended they leave the clan and use the thrall and pet trading posts to transfer ownership of followers to their individual characters. Once the update to UE5 happens, they will be moved to an Exiled Lands server, along with their followers, at which point they can make their way back to the Isle of Siptah to rebuild.

So it is clear that Funcom want you to transfer as individuals, so that you can take a list of followers with you. You can always clan up again once you get to your destination.

Thank you, but where are these exchange counters?

If I were you guys, I wouldn’t deconstruct my bases and pack up all my camels just yet.
You never know :man_shrugging: they might figure out something, so imo. leave it for a while, there seems to be a lot of things changing as we go.
Funcom already edited the blog post a few times going back and forth about the way the update will happen etc.
