Official server 6453 has setting “Only owner can loot player corpse” but not working, other player still can loot my role’s corpse

Is it a PvP or PvE-C server?
On official servers, only PvE servers prevent others from looting your corpse.

Well, that’s your answer. If you don’t want people to loot your corpse you will have to play on PvE.

Got it, thanks for sharing, but the server setting is on the contrary of what you said, and it confuse me.

Well, maybe PvE-C can only loot player corpse during certain hours so the setting reads different based on what time it is? I’m not actually sure why the settings would read opposite. Perhaps @CodeMage, who plays PvE-C could answer that better.

I’ve played on 5 different official PVE-C servers so far, and each one of them has always behaved the same way: everyone can loot my corpse. It’s come in very handy on occasions I got disconnected after I died and had trouble logging back in
I checked the server settings for my current PVE-C server today, and you’re right, the “everybody can loot the corpse” option in the “survival” section is off. I can only speculate that this option is being overridden by the “PVP enabled” option in the “general” section.
