So once again, one of my favourite games has massive changes made to it and is made worse for it.

Survival, why was it removed? Thralls cannot be constantly monitored and instructed to use antidotes, as a result they are unable to ‘survive’ poison. I used to use the exile thralls as my first combat companions due to their high survival and now, now my thralls flop over dead because they are poisoned.

Why was it removed, oh yeah, to satisfy selfish whiners who only wanted damage and vitality perks.

Thanks whiners, thanks, always selfishly pressuring devs to make changes that suit you and ruin it for everyone else.

And oh yeah while I’m here, horses, no one bothers with them anymore so they have entirely disappeared from pvp servers, thanks whiners thanks. The simple solution was to make lancers slower than other riders and bam fixed, not ruin mounted combat entirely.

So the usual response is that what I am doing is also whining, well it isn’t because I am not begging devs to change the game so I can be happy, I am cursing those who do that.

Whiners please, have a terrible day, fall over in the mud or something, everyone else, please, have a fantastic day.

Horses were changed a long time ago, and you are literally the only person I have ever met in the game who cared about survival on a thrall.

You can certainly complain about whatever, but that’s definitely a complaint from way out in left field.

Poison was nerfed at some point so it’s not as deadly vs thralls. I don’t remember anyone asking for survival to be removed.
To be honest It’s getting tiresome seeing the blame going around and around. If the players were able to balance things there would probably be a lot less useless items in the game but once again it’s the devs who make the decisions not the players.

If you want thralls to endure negative stats go to the volcano. From the very beginning of the game they were always the most anthectic!
They even didn’t die on lava touch!
If you want to fight with thralls use the Authority build. The last perk gives +20 to all the stats of the thrall, making even a Tesa a really good thrall.
Now the player that wants thralls to do the job, has better options than before. What’s changed is that you character is stronger than a thrall, I see nothing wrong in it :man_shrugging:.
Devs do not listen whiners, they don’t care about whining!
Devs listen wishes, they care about wishes a lot!
So stop whining, learn the new content and start wishing to stand a chance!
Welcome back !

HAHA called it, I’m not whining you are, big brain move anticipated.

To be honest, the attribute changes were a surprise for most of us, though I am glad they did it. I do not recall a lot of people whining about them, they just did it better.

As to horses, with the new fast travel directly to your bases, they aren’t really needed. The last time I used a horse was as a mule to carry loot.

Authority is way better than Survival ever was, and the Devs did a beautiful job on the changes, you just need to figure them out vs coming here all salty and acting the two year old. Grow up.

What about players who want to have EXTREMELY strong thralls, but also like to be extremely strong themselves? Hum?! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
What about players who want beautiful monster thralls while being monsters themselves?
What about me? :sob:

(As a revenge, I’m enjoying Ladagara Daughter of Ymir as a companion on Single Player. With that elixir, she’s the strongest and perhaps most beautiful thrall I ever had. But she stays at the base, just looking pretty )

You are right! I do respect nonetheless this wish, have no doubt! You know that we had God thralls, impossible to die before 2.4! I know the feeling and I totally respect it! Maybe one day we will return to this too! No one knows! You think I don’t miss my Spinas who was killing on sight? It was awesome and rewarding to go and farm him! He was almost like Arena champion! After lvl 15 he was wrecking everything in 20 minutes in the unnamed city, maybe less! I remember when I was helping him I had to wait for the respawn! I never said that I didn’t like these days in pve, I hated them in pvp however, people were hiding behind thralls that could one shot you no matter your armor!
This was not pvp it was hide and seek! They try to balance and I try to play.
I miss the old thralls but I love my new beast character too.
Who knows maybe one day we’ll have them both !

Oh, the good times! And do you remember what I used to tell you? I prefer having you at my side fightingh than 3 of those thralls. You know I like them strong and beautiful, but I don’t need them. It’s this personal thing.
In this Single Player session I have that Ladagara (called her Ariana), but I’ll take her out before the purge. I’m recruiting whatever comes along as fighters, just to see how they manage. I built in a place where I’ll have that Sobek cultists purge to see how these middle tier thralls handle themselves. Later I’ll go to the harder spots and get some RHTS and do the same. But for the looks of it, they can handle themselves. Even without authority perks. They are… meh… tools.

I kill the Arena Champion naked. There’s no thrall I can’t kill. Easily.

But I get your point. I’m not even sure there should be thralls on pvp.

Oof, lots to react to.
But I only react at the thralls.

The thralls that exist in the starting area have finally been adjusted to their proportions, they are pathetic thralls that are good for expanding a base to use for decoration purposes.

The really good thralls are Nordheimer, Cimmerian and Vulcan.

I only have Cimmerian and Vulcan thralls.

Ulric is my best fighter see picture:

Thx, he is my best in the exil lands.

By the way, I hope your gaming experience is better again.

I still know you under your old account name MarcoSPT, which is why I tried to explain to you in your thread in a relaxed manner why complications can arise.

I no longer like to have conversations on an emotional basis, because you usually insult someone else without actually wanting to.
This is why dont reacted on your last post in your thread. :v:t4:

Unfortunately, it remains the same. Rendering delay is plaguing the game. This was a rare occurrence pre 3.0.
They really have to see what they broke, because it’s very annoying. Conan’s bar furniture remains invisible. I reinstalled the game to see if it would solve it, but nothing. There’s also problems in the two dungeons I tried (cellar and warmaker). It’s a bloody mess…

IMHO thralls are designed all wrong. Following got perked and guarding didn’t. If it was reversed, PvP wouldn’t have any issues. You could have war party and increase your followers or all of your guard thralls perked up. That way you base is more reasonably secured.

Would PvE be ok with that change?

I’m really sorry for you.
Have you ever completely cleaned your PS and put new thermal paste in it?

I can only say from my point of view how it is with my son.
He has my old PS4 Pro, everything runs normally there, but he plays in performance mode just like me.

I’m playing on PS5 and it’s running very well for me, except sometimes I see objects black for 1-2 seconds.

This. With the new builds, even if you aren’t that much of a fighter, you manage perfectly without thralls. So you don’t NEED them so strong. Guarding, they might need to be better, as they screw up at every occasion due too their AI and you might not be close enough to help.

The thing that ■■■■■■ me off is that if I take the game design to its limits so that I create a monster, I should be able to do so. I can’t do that and stay on top as a fighter. I have to “borrow” my power to the thrall. Nasty trade off.

Now, new thralls with authority, the right perks (elixir of rebirth is brutal) and the right gear are as, if not more, OP than before. Without authority they kind of disapoint. Having authority maxed takes quite the toll though. I don’t like that… but unless you max it you can’t really have a monster.

I was used to use survival to eat raw flesh like a true barbarian should now i have to carry a cute camp fire to cook on the field, horses become crappy for sure, and all i see in the forum is nerf it, nerf that, nerf nerf nerf, it will become a ridiculous boring pillow fight at the end, that when you land 100 hits more your oppoent explode in blood and gore, just to the game become easy to one who think they are too good, that just die because of the game “broken” mechanics that needs to be nerfed. The result is: those nerf fellas continue to lose (because if they not get killed in one shot by a player, there will be two to kill them), and then thery leave the game, and left it crapped for those who trully love it.

What I like about the new authority is that it forces you to participate in the fight in order to help heal your follower.
The only time my followers really take any damage is from poison, the snake boss in the temple in UC being the worst.
I have yet to find a downside personally to the new attribute system, wheras the old one was full of holes.

You do remember our first days of this update!
We were disappointed, but we didn’t give up, we searched for a light in this new tunnel!
What it’s very difficult is to accept that I have to change my playstyle. When I farm I have only one playstyle, though I do other things in pve to find new exitments in this game and hopefully I find, on farming I have just one playstyle! I trust my war axe! Before the update the reason I didn’t go for lower thralls it was because I didn’t want to babysit them. When I started play and loose a couple of thralls then I knew that I have to change my playstyle . Especially horses I might have lost 20 since the update, so I started name them Todiesoon, or Yolo :rofl::rofl:. My new playstyle is with bearers thralls in exile lands! On Siptah I farm thralls only from the temple of the loon, so it’s difficult to loose a thrall like it. As soon I will make my first Surge then the temple of the loon is over too, surge thralls always come out with great stats and they endure even more. I don’t play 4 perks in Authority, I don’t waste my points there, I place only 2 and corrupt them, only them so it’s extremely difficult for my thrall to die, even my horse! I tried war party once and well trained once! War Party is a trap, if you take a pet and a thrall the opponents will attack only the pet , so it dies. Well Trained is way better, your thrall is safe and you can farm easily almost anything! But I like to fight and be better than my thrall, so no thanks.

And I am still in the process to understand this system, but it rocks, I totally agree!
