With authority maxed out and the correct gear on the thrall and the player, I’m not even sure if we aren’t getting even more powerfull thralls than we had. I made no tests, but I had a t4 dancer killing the Commander in the UC with little help from me. They seem to resist damage better and we can boost their weapon dmg to levels unseen before. That rebirth elixir makes wonders. All combined… I’m not sure if thralls aren’t at least as powerful. The trade off is a little nasty though… without authority, we can become absolute beasts, but with it we aren’t in a worse place than we were pre 3.0.

But they didn’t nerf survival. They totally reworked the attribute system. With perks I would dare to say are far more useful than eating raw meat, which is not particularly useful past the first hour of the game.

And side note, there is a corrupted perk that makes you immune to most status effects, including poison. Which should, in theory because I haven’t tested it, allow you to eat raw meat.

Looks at thrall Grit attribute and perks. Looks like Survival to me.

Teehee!

Im snickering because the game has finally spread out its variety of play and different builds for player and thralls. There is more viability for all content in the game now.

no, no, for me it was very useful even on end game i never had to carry food, just kill something on the road and eat it.

Sorry but no. End game would be purposefully utilizing stat enhancing food, with preservation boxes containing whatever you didn’t need at the moment.

Your personal decision to completely ignore that particular part of the game does not make eating raw meat end game. And like I said, corrupted perks, go enjoy your raw meat.

And side note, care to toss me a couple references where barbarians sustained themselves solely on raw meat? Thanks.

The liver king of course

Um, sorry, no. I wouldn’t mind having to choose between perking up the guard thralls or the followers, though. But asking me to choose between perking up the guard thralls – which I don’t need on a PVE(-C) server – and the War Party perk – which is currently mostly useless – is like asking me whether I would like a turd sandwich or a turd taco.

At any rate, it’s a moot point. If you stop and think about it, there’s no concrete way to make your perks affect your guards. Why? Because all followers, regardless of their current state – guarding, following, scouting, etc. – belong to the clan, not the player. So which player’s perks would be affecting them?

That’s why your perks only affect those who follow you, because that establishes a clear relationship between you and those followers.

That made me laugh, thanks!

(I have to ask, because yeha… written communication can not really show sarcasm: are you serious? Because even Bear Grylls ate more raw meat than him!)

I believe, just a speculation… I haven’t try it yet.
Well Trained = thralls and pets
War Party = Zombies
This outcome from what I read here. A lot of people are super exited combined war party and zombies! For well trained it’s obvious I guess!

I don’t know the lore! But…

I do not know this king!

I don’t know these guys too!

What I can assume is that darfari are cannibals isn’t it?
Isn’t their religion ritual to eat the “blessed” raw meat .

We still have the perk cannibal if I am not mistaken, @Tephra can easily confirm this (thank you and Sir for your non stop work on wiki ).

Last but not least! Liver, kidneys, heart, are three pieces that are most common in global humanity rituals in all the times of our existence! If I am not mistaken the lore writers mixed history facts of different ages in one age, they just changed names and placed their exceptional talent to create these books!

So eating raw meat exists in the game and it must. It gives a role and it is very important!

I’d assume Pictish tribes would eat the hearts and or livers of large beasts, such as bison, for strength

OT:
Tell me what headgear does your character wear in the picture?
Is it from AoC?

Lemurian warrior mask with a Derketo priest top from the looks of it

This could be solved if you could apoint a thrall master position in your clan. You can have several ranks already. Although it’s not the same, it’s an idea… someone would have to sacrifice his build to have better guards.

Really? it looks so different.

Pict Wizard mask upon closer inspection

Liver king is an internet celebrity who claims he basically only eats raw meat, and a lot of raw liver. First lie, because humans get used to cooked meat over thousands of years, he just can not change this evolution in some years.
Secondly he is pretty buffed, but he claims he achieved this physique naturally - yeah, even if you eat 100% correctly, and the most efficient way, (which he can not do - see my first problem) you still won’t be able to achieve such body.
He is a nice guy, but I don’t understand why he makes fool of a lot of people, and potentially increasing the risk of being sick from raw meat.

Bear Grylls is a former SAS trooper, and started several survival series on the television. In those episodes he did a lot of things: ate bugs, raw fish, gave himself enema, sunk in quicksand, skinned a snake and used it as a waterskin (which contained his own piss), ate dung, yak eye, drank blood, piss, etc…
Turned out those shows were staged, but the point is: he did what he told. He is (was) kind of a teacher, showed how to do it, but he does not have to live his every days like this.

But to be on topic: you can no longer eat raw stuff, that perk is gone. :slightly_frowning_face:
