Stairs on side of cliff

Would anyone know how to build a stair case on the side of a cliff for easy access up and down? I see them on videos and images, but I cannot figure out how to build them to save my life.

Is there a tutorial anywhere? I am horrible at GoogleFu, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Foundation can be attached to the side of cliff’s, then you just place it on the top of them.
