Where does it spawn? I read it spawns at the tower in the middle, but I didnt see any. Is it only during the storm?
Around the tower in the middle
You will see it falling out of the sky when it spawns, then just look for the smoking mounds on the ground around the tower

Hmm, guess I’ll go check again. I ran around the zombie area below the tower and didnt see any star metal last time.
It spawns around the tower, both down below with the skeletons and up top where the spiders roam. You will see it fall from the sky during the spawn cycle.
I think it usually spawns after the storm.
If you’re accustomed to the old meteor optic, keep watchful. All the resources look a bit different in UE5. Look out for smoke clouds.
Does star metal have the smoke clouds back by default in UE5? (I ask because I noticed Xevyr’s Reliable Meteors mod also mentions returning the smoke - but that could just be copied across from an earlier description, so maybe meteors have the smoke again anyway.)
AFAIK yes, they are back.
Basis: single player offline, Isle of Siptah, several mods, but nothing regarding meteors, esp. not Xevyr’s Meteor Mod (but his very good minimap mod, of course).
I did a run and found some this time. It was a week or so ago when I did it the first time, maybe it was bugged or someone already got it all.
