It is meaningful to hold such an event

Well, this could be an RP server assistant contest.
Many RP servers still wandering in the lack of fantasy, so a contest like this one might trigger the imagination of the players and finally participate in an RP server with a role that suits them. Still, if you have a story to tell (write) I am all ears (eyes). Go for it

I would definitely take part  in such a contest. Certainly, it would be popular among the forum users, but not among players.

For years I have organized contests in MMO games for my Guilds / Clans / Allies / Servers. Every time, among the 100-500 players who could participate storytelling, only 3-5 signed up in 1-2 months. But when I was doing the quick “who will find me will get a prize” contest, 10 people immediately applied.

The best (most popular) gaming contests are those that happen inside the game. Do you remember the animation (emote) contest in Conan  The idea was cool, but its course had too little to do with the game (not counting other problems).

I give a  for the idea and send my application for the contest, ha ha!

If the contest were to take place, I would add that submissions must be posted on the forum. It would be a pity to be able to read only a few of the winners.

Welcome @Mighty_Zarkon, since @liaorui did not provide any rules and did not propose any prizes, this topic is only a suggestion.

Regarding the rewards, I noticed that there are some special badges on the forum that no one has received in a long time. It would be nice if some contests rewarded participants and winners with badges. :medal_sports:

If we were to organize a contest ourselves, I think the moderators could be persuaded :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: to help  with such symbolic rewards.

If I were to propose some (not all) rules: :pen:

  1. The story can be of any length, however the jurors are obliged to read only the first 7,000 letters (with spaces) and will select the winners based on that only.
    • Note: In this way, we would allow freedom and the participants would not have to watch the length of their work as much. And the jurors would not be overwhelmed by the length of the submitted applications. The number of 7,000 letters is an example.
  2. Depending on what (genres) entries are submitted, the jurors will select the winners and the reason for the award.
    • Possibly categories: The funniest; Most detailed; Perfect language; Best idea; Best-created hero; Unexpected twist… or any other.
    • Note: This allows participants to write in the genre and way that suits them best and actually shine. As well as the application that counts the most, not the perfect use of the English language.
