Suggestion: Allow Gender Change via Orb of Nergal

Hello,

I would like to share a suggestion regarding the Orb of Nergal. At the moment, the Orb of Nergal allows changes such as face, body, hair, makeup, and other visual options, but it does not allow changing the character’s gender. My suggestion is to add this functionality, enabling full character customization.

The reason is simple: Conan Exiles is a long-term game, where many players spend hundreds (or even thousands) of hours with the same character. Over time, it is natural to want to completely change a character’s identity, whether for roleplay reasons, personal preference, or simply to try something new. Having to create a new character just to change gender is not a very practical solution, especially on long-running or well-established servers.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that in Dune Awakening changing the character’s gender is already possible.

I believe that changing a character’s gender would be a relatively simple feature that would not negatively affect any gameplay systems. If anyone knows the reason why Funcom has not allowed gender changes so far, I would really appreciate hearing about it.

As a small side note, I also believe that allowing players to change their character’s name would be a great quality-of-life improvement as well. However, I understand that this is a separate topic and deserves its own discussion.

I wonder how complicated that would be considering also that any armor would have to be changed to fit the gender.

I doubt the armor change would make much (if any) difference - that seems to be something that happens automatically depending on which base model the armor is placed. If you take armor off a male character and place it onto a female character, it automatically changes to suit, and vice versa.

Yes, all armors have both male and female versions, it all depends on the body type they’re equipped on. So I don’t think that would be a problem

Mods can do that. cough Works perfectly. Only on PC single player / private server, of course.

I want full customization for everything pay attention to user id’s not character name. I also desire a place to set a thralls and fix the terrible noses someone thinks looks normal. Basic sliders, no need for total overhauls. Let’s face it, (pun intended) when you get a nice t4 dancer and her nose makes her look like a total swamp donkey that population availability cap grows by one.
