Are you just saying this because you actually care about the achievement or you know achievements aren’t easy to change?
I highly doubt funcom intended on naked players double jumping with 500 carpets in their inventory. There’s been some good solutions posted that hopefully funcom will listen to. They were posted I’m a different thread

The game changed. Before with the old SAVAGES attribute system, you actually had to find specific legendaries that give +Agility and +Encumbrance, to be able to have a usable Mario Goomba stomping build. It was not really viable, because once you die, you lost your armor, rendering your build invalid (perks are not achieved).
With the change of the attribute system, the +Attribute got replaced and special equipment is not needed anymore to get to the perks. It is easier now to specialize in a Mario Goomba stomping build, you can even run it naked.
This was a huge change and I am pretty sure Funcom did not think about the achievement at all when designing the new system. It is an oversight now and should be fixed.
A possible solution would be to change the instakill to damage over time, so you need to stand idk 5 seconds on a player to kill him. Does not hurt the achievement and balances PvP.

You can do that completely naked as well. Sounds nice on paper, like here on the Forums, but the reality is different.
Imagine you are raiding someone. You carry some bombs so you are not overenc in your fighter spec. You start raiding their 10k building piece base. Suddenly someone jumps on you from above, no way you could see that coming. You are instantly dead without being able to react and lost valuable raiding materials.
Is that fair?
As a normal reaction, you will go back naked with double jump thirsty for revenge, trying to kill them for 10, 20, 60 minutes, just for them to respawn and continue with what they were doing before with the stashed leather or stones they have. You are wasting your time you could’ve spent on raiding their base, which you can’t, because of a cheap oneshot mechanic.

It does not even work properly. See my video:

Yeah. I suppose it’s a fair point that it’s easier to pull the build off now than it used to be but it’s certainly not a bug, an exploit or a cheat.
I’m not a huge fan of the idea that they should turn the stomp into a dot. I’d rather they, if they did anything at all, just increase the stamina consumption when you double jump while over-encumbered.

Back when this game first came out i was on top of our build and decided to jump down. I landed on top of my husband’s head
And I killed him. AND THIS IS where The Tower of Elephant came from. The Tower of the Elephants was a not meant to be a offensive weapon.

I agree not what it was meant for so people could run around naked with nothing to loose against more seasoned players. And yes I don’t pvp but have read many posts on this issue.

Why? Do you use this tactic in pvp? I’m just curious how this change would effect your play style

It wouldn’t. I got the achievement accidentally on PS4 when two randoms raided me while I was in my base. I killed one of them, picked up their gear, got overencumbered and then accidentally fell on top of the other while trying to climb up into my base.

I’ve still not gotten the achievement for this. I have had friends standing still to let me do it and somehow not hurt them. It confuses me.

There are so many opinions on this topic. And i am not sure what daggers have to do with this. Also there are so many people who cheat. In this game, they can’t be bothered to actually play the game. Cheat Cheat Cheat this is all they do
To me that makes them weak.
Erm…hate to break it to you but Anglinex has been here longer than yourself, and he is far more pleasant.
Moreover, here on the forum people can participate in any discussion they like and that is the way it should be. If you wish to start a good ol boys club then do so in a Private Message group or on Discord. Otherwise @Anglinex has as much right to be here as anyone else.

No thankyou. Here is my counter proposal: how about we retain the Beast of Burden perk, and you either abstain from using it, or join a Private Server where its use is not permitted.
Like many members I am very limited in the amount of time I get to play each week. I am generally limited to a couple of hours on Saturday and a couple of hours on Sunday; and that is on a good week! The last thing people need is to have to start making multiple additional trips back and forth, back and forth, for resource harvesting.
Furthermore, when building it is convenient to be able to take out the Beast of Burden perk and max out our inventory with all of the resources we need on us then get to work at full movement speed, as opposed to making multiple trips to and from storage chests, or worse still…plodding around at the overencumbered slow walking speed. There have already been multiple solutions put forward by other members which are far, FAR more practical and appealing than removing Beast of Burden. Some prime examples are:

Maybe he didn’t notice. Most new people to the forums don’t use the search and tbh I don’t do it that often either. I’m all for more awareness tho remember gotta be loud if you want results right?
Again I’ll say @erjoh has the simplest solution.
Can’t double jump while over encumbered.

Yes, because @erjoh and you probably don’t use the double jump perk…
See how that works?.. People are very quick to offer up things on the sacrificial altar that they don’t use or care about.
I for example use double-jump while overencumbered for PvE reasons quite often so I’m very much not okay with that suggestion

I do use it but not frequently. I love parkour through the jungle and unnamed city and nothing beats it scouting. But there has to be give and take. The distance solution is more coding and potential issues therein as the system trying to calculate all of it to ensure the distance is correct. It would need to do the calculation when you land on a head and know where you were before the jump and it would have to be constantly on the ready to do all times for all players…more tables to store previous locations, more references, more potential to royally screw up something. As far as I know, this isn’t tracked in the current game. But you know more than I about that. I’m just looking at the theoretical of implementation and the distance solution doesn’t sound like fun.

This one recently did a Mario run just to see what all the fuss was about.
This one even dressed in Bright Red and Blue, occasionally putting signs in place to “Look Up”.
Sometimes this one changed to garish Yellow and Purple.
One issue is that many players are not exactly the sort of animal that could survive in the wild. In a game where one’s enemy can build anywhere, they act like they are playing on a game that doesn’t have height differentials to consider.
They also seem to forget that long range weapons are a thing, but that’s for a different post…
The other issue, and the one that is actionable, is the extremely low altitude from which a crush can happen.
Over the months of the run, this one tried crushing from progressively lower positions. With equally flattening results. Eventually drinking the potion and discovering first hand that double jump is sufficient to squash someone…
No, just no. Bad.
This one is in favour of drop bear murder deadfall.
However, that it can be triggered from a double jump is absurd.
This one’s suggestion is a minimum fall distance, a sort of terminal velocity, before the crush damage is triggered.
Has anyone experimented with feather fall to see if one can crush while light as a feather?
