I love playing as a sorcerer, but it needs a couple tweaks to be more effective, as in many cases it can be more of a hinderance than helpful. I have many, many, hours playing a sorcerer build, so I would like to give some quality of life suggestions.
First, the bat demon needs to give you slow fall when he lets you go. Quite a lot of the bat’s stamina is used for making sure you don’t fall to your death, that could be used to fly a little further, and I have died a number of times thinking that I could push it.
Second, Lighting Storm needs to be more consistent and do more damage. I’ve played with a mod that tweaks this in such a way (as with the bat demon suggestion) and it is wonderful. I find it useful for purges or boss fights where it can be cast. Also, please let us cast spells, particularly lighting storm in dungeons, as it is frustrating that you can’t. Call of the dead could also use a similar touch up, as it’s borderline useless.
Third, creeping darkness should affect NPCs. It appears to only affect players last I checked, and while that is likely useful for PVP, it serves no purpose outside of messing with other players. Changing it to make it mess with NPC’s detection of you, not making you invisible, but confusing them and making their detection or targeting of you inconsistent. Or maybe inducing some kind of negative status effect like corruption for NPCs or poison gas.
Finally, having corrupted grit and agility would be fantastic, a dream scenario. I know that would take a lot more work than the previous suggestions, but would be really incredible and pretty well complete sorcery (in addition to the previous suggestions). Having less of your stamina be removed from corruption would be swell, but I can understand if that would cause problems in PVP or make sorcery be the ultimate goal instead of a choice with pros and cons.
