You’re talking to a Certified Misanthropistā„¢
I enjoy playing solo much more than co-op in the vast majority of games, and if PvP I prefer 1v1 to playing in a team (yet I still have over 6000h in a team based PvP game).

But more importantly, I am extremely picky when it comes to ā€œqualityā€ as you call it.

I want games to feel as responsive as reality.
If I’m rock-climbing, I don’t lag, and if I fail it is because of me.
If I’m playing Super Meat Boy, the inputs feel very good and precise.
If I’m playing Conan, there are a few weird stuff like Giant Crocodile rotating like an idiot, but me as a player has sharp and precise input (although some weapons and some attacks fail at this)

But back to ā€œonline gamingā€ lmao…
I played a lot of Super Smash Bros, including the latest one, Ultimate.
Let me tell you, playing offline and playing online… Those are two different games entirely! And while the offline version feels awesome, the online version feels terrible to me, and when covid hit and tournaments went online, I simply dropped the game altogether :eyes:

Now many games have very good online performance, but this wasn’t the case with Smash Ultimate, and it definitely isn’t the case with Conan’s officials.

→ And to add extra pain on top of this… No, people don’t ā€œmatterā€ online. The random anonymous internet gamer is much more likely to be annoying or even straight up toxic, than being a somewhat remotely half-decent person.

TLDR: No, I will not go out of my way to try making ā€œfriendsā€ on the internet in a laggy environment.

PvE servers feel pointless to me because really there is no need for co-op in such an easy game, so it is just a nerfed and laggy version of Single-Player.

PvP servers are crippled with toxic mentality (PvP always induces some toxicity, human nature is what it is) but on top of that official PvP is absolutely broken with Ɨ4 Harvest Rate, but you can also add exploits and hacks with flybases everywhere :theworst:

PvE-C sounds okay, but again the Harvest Rate is too high, everything is laggy due to overbuilding, and most people will just never be online for PvP time :catnobanana:

In what world is playing on official servers a good idea?
→ The answer is, if you already have friends to play the game with prior to joining a server.
You can argue that I could go in officials to try to make friends, but I’m not sure it’s worth it for me personally.
