Take the game down from the Playstation Store

The fact it is even still for sale after this bombshell is absolute trash.

I wouldn’t say take it down, but maybe deep discount it. Maybe if enough PS players actually start playing again, they’ll get the incentive to actually take the time to update the game.

I have about 4000 hrs in Conan on PlayStation. I own all of the DLC. I am also heavily invested into the bazaar content. And even I think there is no incentive for PlayStation users to bother coming back! Xbox got a Next Gen update 5 years ago! We still running a PS4 1080p buggy edition. We PlayStation players need to stop feeding them money that only goes to updating everyone else’s game but our own.

That’s just it…that won’t happen. If anything you will see an exodus from the game as they said they pulled out of development. It will downward spiral and the corporate types will just let it go without accountability that they literally caused it. I hope the pc crowd will make up the revenue that the consoles had to else this is truly the end of the game.

And there it is. All the new items they dumped into the bazaar recently that I purchased to support the game were being funneled to the PC upgrade.

PlayStation players need to keep this in the back of their mind when Funcom brings Dune to console. Will have to gauge if it would be smart to support another Funcom game on PlayStation if we continue to get left back.

It’s a comfort game for me. Even if Funcom decides not to support it anymore, I’d like to have access to it. Full removal from PSN is not the answer. I’m well aware it’s unlikely we’re getting anything more and I have no intention of spending any more money on Crom coins just for FunCROM not to give a crap about me as a player. I’ll enjoy what I can until it disappears into oblivion.

That’s a very mature way to see it…I’m not there yet or if I will be. This is FC telling me and you and all other console players that our money isn’t worth the expense of porting to remain part of the relevant game future.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I don’t mean not keep it available for current players. I meant don’t sell it to new ones. At least not at full price.

They will…they will redefine our version from “live service” to “completed game” and move on.

Seriously I thought for sure tencent would provide the pressure to expand their vision but apparently they were able to sell the idea of consolidation is the winning strategy. When works gets out and the game tanks in revenue on 2 out of 3 platforms, make sure Joel is there with Rui to explain their strategy to the board. I’m sure 10¢ will fully understand this is all going to get steady player counts beyond 30k on steam and that this PC population will make up the Bazaar purchases that consoles gave.

I decided a while ago that I won’t buy Dune.

Same. Sword and sorcery over sci-fi any day. :+1:

Simple: on the day of the update, we should all uninstall the game on consoles. Stop paying to rent servers. Don’t buy anything from the in-game store. We need to spread this idea to every corner of the world. That’s our response to the company. And under no circumstances should we buy Dune or any of their content on consoles.

Here only more 3750 + hours of game and cash her.

Hello, I don’t mean to be a spoilsport, but in my opinion, it’s just more graphics in the same old game. I don’t understand all the fuss. I understand that the better the graphics, the less playable it will be; there will be more limitations. You’re already bored with the same thing, and you’ll get bored again. It might sound harsh, but I don’t want any more Conan Exiles. Enough. So much waiting! Oh well, what can you do?

I’m about 6850 hours. I am not spending another dime on the game. And for all of the “Just move to PC” comments, do they have any idea how much money I have into DLC that I would have to repurchase on top of two new PC’s so me and my wife can play? I’m in for easily well over $1000 between core game, expansions, DLC, battlepass and bazaar items.

The issue here is that anything new to the game (like sorcery or events or age of super kewl features), we are left without it. Things that drastically change game play and adds a refreshing way to play the ‘same ole map’ is gone. A platforms that are still active, still putting money into crom coin… ignored. Sure we don’t have the mods or the access to various private servers, so the numbers do look bad, the numbers are active consumers that have no choice but FC to get variation. Those of us that measured expenses in hundreds of dollars throughout years of game play feel a bit betrayed by this sudden ‘its not you, it’s me’ BS

This is what they always wanted. I don’t know who’s making the decisions. I already deleted that game for my peace of mind. Friends, it’s the same game but with better graphics, think about it. Of course, there are also the system requirements and the investment required. If they do this to you today, what will you do tomorrow?:+1:

Yep…it’s DOA for me as well. What’s the point of playing a game that is going to be maintenance mode deadman march. They haven’t a clue how fast the game will be abandoned by console players once this fully sinks in.

I hope to all that is holy that Rui and Joel’s names go down when 10¢ demands answers to revenue drop off. This is a leadership decision and they both need to suffer for this boondoggle.

After this if it goes they way their saying right now ill never buy another funcom game again

My understanding is that the only updates console would get is to fix bugs but if they bring anything new, that’d be only for steam.
