talks about Tension. Good. When you want to use a ritual tool, but the corpse has disappeared (as soon as it was out of sight) - it causes a damn tension… but there is nothing good here. And how will I take the skull from the sorcerer if his corpse has become invisible? Tension again. Then, before the enemy has time to drop dead, your companion comes running and stands on him. What for? Yes, so that you can’t use a knife or a ritual tool on a corpse, that’s why. Not to mention the fact that before that the companion tried his best to prevent you from hitting the enemy, the companion covered him with his own body and pushed him out from your attacks.

Oh! There seems to be enough tension, however, says that tension should be added. . . . Excuse my French.

Sorcerer skulls are worthless in the next age.

You want tension? Go play test.
You want to release that tension? Go watch something on disney.

The disappearing NPCs is annoying, but easily fixed by running out of render distance. That fix needs to come with Funcom running better servers with Gportal. I’ll let you in on a little know fact. There are always 3 servers running on one bank with the same IP address. The biggest problem with the “New Age” is the removal of repairing items. They’ve effectively killed the game they never wanted to maintain. There are two things that keep people playing. Building and fighting. Making the grind suck more is not improving gameplay. And we had the whole power scale before. 100% PvP will be about controlling spawns for loot. PvE just wants new stuff to build the fantasy. Funcom better be ready to start banning thier player base away. Funcom=🤡

you may be on to something, I just got a ban, which bears no justification, see my post ‘Very disappointed…’ I guess my being a long-time player and the several hours a day I grind are annoying them.

Or the rat can no longer smell it’s own tail, but clearly the stench is coming from anyone else but them.

its very immersive role-play ) Its need more tension)

If anyone doesn’t get enough tension, try to get several knocked out Purge thralls to the wheel without losing any in single player mode!

Step too far: they fall under the terrain, turn away - they get cleaned up with the dead guys from their attack wave while you are not looking, fight to close to them and they’ll get killed by enemy fire orbs or your companion’s attacks.

And if you managed to keep all the bodies to the end, you have to drag them all with one rope while always looking at them and praying to whatever god you believe in that game physics won’t freak out and the body you’re dragging won’t fall through the ground as soon as you release it to pull the others closer.

So much tension you’ll be set for a day!

I think you’re mistaking annoyance for tension.

Tension is the part where you see a rare T4 NPC and try to KO them before your thrall accidentally kills them. Tension is still there when you mentally prepare yourself to see whether the NPC falls through the mesh or whether you manage to snag them.

But once that happens, tension breaks and is replaced by either a sense of success, achievement, victory, relief - or disappointment, annoyance, frustration, etc.

Real tension is what you feel while the latest update is downloading and you’re worrying if what the players on test have said are true.

Rng :rofl::rofl::rofl:.
Is my thrall going to use the truncheon or fists?
Is the npc going to be sucked by the ground ?
Will i make it back to the base to place the npc in the wheel or, connection lost?
Even on these we have rng .

But now without jokes. There are places that this “multiple agro” was causing lot’s and lot’s of problems and why not “tension” . I love challenging gaming, but sometimes it’s annoying not challenging anymore , so i can surely understand how the tension is going to drop and this is the reason i am not against this decision. I love the wine cellar dungeon but the agro right now is huge, so even if i did that dungeon hundreds times i am always cautious!
Some great camps like new Asgard, summoning place, den, etc… comes with “no lag allowed”. And i am not speaking about connection lost here, i speak about a simple lag can be fatal. No matter your experience, these camps are always difficult and that’s really good, they don’t need to be ball breaking camps.
Above all my friend @Kapoteeni, what i already stated in another similar topic, (from the decade we’ve seen for the same issue) i will wait the update first and i hope i will receive it without issues in my console. That’s THE priority for me, the rest can wait.

Real tension is downloading the update without knowing if your PS5 is going to run it properly!

As you should be! That’s tension.
I can bet you’ll go through it like a hot knife through butter after the changes.
The only thing that makes that dungeon harder is having to deal with mobs. Take that out and it’s UC underground. A chore.

In single player you (we) can do it this way even now :rofl::rofl:. Online is the issue. Before you know it you have several skeletons around you and you are wtf??? For players like us Marcos that go inside warriors and not commanders it’s ok, a few swings and go back to the ground you came for, but for commanders who choose full authority and full encumbrance this agro is mostly fatal. This games virtue is patience, if you go with steady steps and wait for your turn in boss fights it’s very rare to die and you know this really well. I know how easier it will become, but hopefully it’s easy even now and you know it :rofl::rofl:. I just have to invent ways to make it harder .
I do agree, worry not, but this tense reduction is not for me and you m8, it’s for the hopefully new wave of players they hope they will have. What really worries me is the official servers. The last days almost every official i visit is over builded with foundation spam land claims. So no matter the efforts of reducing the mechanic tension, this situation will rize it higher than expected. Let’s hope i am wrong .

I don’t even touch officials until the disconnect issue is solved… it’s too risky.
Yeah, I mean we went through that dungeon so many times we know by heart each and every enemy spawn.
There’s no tension there any longer.
That’s one of the reasons why I want a new map so badly.
The new purges will be very welcome to break the monotony, but we still have a few months ahead until they are implemented.
