Teleport Immunity

ok so corruption was added to the obs to prevent teleport camping… BUT there is a much simpler way of doing this which also fixes other issues…

see teleport works just find as long as a person is running on a fast network with a fast machine… but if its just a bit slow certain things can happen… such as discount from server, or very slow teleports… which in some locations result in death due to NPCs attacking you while your teleporting in…

I suggest you simple add an immunity timer for those that teleport that make them 1. invisible to critters nearby and 2. immune to damage… until the person moves OR until the timer runs down… as well during that timer no corruption build up…

Worst idea ever. As soon as this will be a thing, players will find the way to bug this and retain immunity forever.
We can to some extent tolerate “dancer regen” bug, “no attack animation”, “all-50-attributes” and “endless stamina” exploits, but invincible players will be way over the top even by CE standarts.

LOL, all those bugs can be fixed with a bit of security coding… which they are having to do after the fact because they were to lazy to do it in the first place…

and there was already invincible players before in EA lol…

also without proper security coding anything in the admin menu is in some way shape or form accessible by players…

don’t say its a bad idea simple because your worried some sort of exploit will come out of it… that is their job to actually protect their game from people exploiting it…

I think when risks involved exceed rewards gained we can safely assume idea is “bad”. And risks of FUNCOM not implementing this idea the “safe way” is about 30%. This leads to community being stuck with bugged functionality for months

The job they are not very good at.

I havn’t seen any complains about been killed after teleportation to obelisk.
If you ask me, I would suggest reworking obelisk models to be “building restricted zone” and incorporate some sort of “balcony” for players to spawn on and assign obelisk textures as “non-climbable” (like Dregs dungeon).
