Anyone tired of carrying around bags of ice and spicy food in late game?
I think it would be nice to have armor kits that added resistance to heat and cold. Currently most armor in the game, even crafted with a tier 4 thrall do not have enough resistance to withstand extreme temperatures when they could in the past.
I know a bunch of armors in the past did not make sense with their resistances, wearing a cold-resistant bikini etc. so why not let the players have control through temperature kits?

Am I missing something hereā¦? What about the Redeemed Legion set? If you donāt like the look of it you can always alter the appearance to a set that you do like.

The Arena Championās armor has almost maximum thermal insulation and is one of the most armored in the game.
Dragon helmet from the Red Mother - maximum thermal insulation.
Plus a bunch of armor against cold or heat, respectively (Godbreaker etc.)

All those you mentioned are:
⢠Dungeon Armor (nothing from the base knowledge tree)
⢠Heavy Armor (no light or medium option)
⢠Their bonuses are not exactly optimal (which is fine, there should be a tradeoff if you get +40% agility bonus damage like the Ranger Armor gives)
The Dragonscale Helm cannot be crafted, and cannot be repaired; it is however the best option for temperature protection, and it is medium armor instead of heavy so it is really good overall.
The issue isnāt that there are no options whatsoever, but that the options are a bit too restricted.
You can get Redeemed Helmet and Pauldron, with Arena Champion Gauntlets, and those are all +8% Strength Damage Bonus⦠But they are all Heavy Armor Pieces, and you will not find an equivalent for Agility Damage Bonus
My personal solution has been to go full Ranger Armor and to carry the Dragonscale Helm as well as the Commanderās Helmet for Temperature resistance and Gas Protection when needed, but both of those are rare drops that cannot be repaired

It canāt be dyed, and itās expensive. Redeemed Legion is much more effective. Alternatively, Iāll use one of the insulated shields or, preferably, the dragon scale helm.

I totally agree we need a armor mod(s) for temperature because Im not that much into heavy armor, even if AoW changes made it more viable. For light or medium, dragon scale helm is the only way to go. 1 armor piece swap and you got enough temp protection for most of the map.
For heavy, while redeemed sl is fine, godbreaker with mistmourn is better and all of those gb bonuses add up nicely.

It is only more effective because it has a larger strength buff. In all other respects, the Championās armor is cooler, especially since it cleanses of corrupt. And temperature effects are more pronounced.

Yes, I am suffering from this at the moment. I have to make do with the Master Skelos (sorcerer) armor, but this is medium armor.
You could try combining the Dragon Helm or Nordheimās Legacy with the Stygian Soldier or Dark Templar armor, I havenāt tried it yet.
(Itās terribly cold here, on the SW map half of the territory has a temperature of ā-51ā)

True, but i like to illusion everything. I learned the hard way with the champion gear and redeemed legion is plenty cooling for the volcano. I can understand the argument over it not being medium or light though, but to favor the other armors over it that are also heavy doesnāt really make much sense to me.

I crafted the pants for my clanmate since she wanted to use them. We tried to illusion it and dye it, but it didnāt work. Wasted the scraps for something we werenāt gonna use.

Champion Armor should only be used as a set. They are ideal for playing the role of a light knight. For someone playing the role of a villain, they⦠are also ideal, because evil, as a rule, pretends to be good and dresses up in the clothes of Light.

Yeah, Iām aware⦠we were gonna craft the whole set, but stopped after testing the pants. As for the ālook,ā it makes no difference to me since the look doesnāt fit my RP.
This one would also prefer some modularity with armour comfort.
Beyound the early absurdity of bikini and banana hammock keeping you warm, and full plate being a cooling solution⦠at least we had options.
Now, there are precious few, and those few, honestly, are derpy.
RNG dependent or force into a Heavy Armour build. While others may disagree, this one still finds Heavy Armour not even close to worth itās weight and penalties.
Why not have some light sets that arenāt really armour worthy that offer some strong environmental protection? On Siptah they have survivalist gear, which sorta kinda half @$$ offers temperature protection, but the Voidforged Vagabond is such a missed opportunity.
The balance of protection for combat vs weight vs stat bonus vs environmental protection deserves a re-examination, especially as they ditched the Survival attribute with Age of Sorcery.

They should remake armors. Now full plate armor gives more protection against cold than fur armor.
And armor descriptions⦠Armor with 1 bar in temperature insulation gives better protection than armor with 3 bars in temperature protectionā¦
But I guess it would be easier to remove the whole weather system so players wonāt have to suffer carrying around ice tea and chili desert style. It would fit nicely to a general trend in changes made to Conan
system
