Temporarily disable encounters

I know that the encounters can be turned on and off at will without needing a patch, and the encounters are currently causing people who approach them to crash.

So why aren’t encounters being temporarily disabled until the crashing issue can be fixed?

I hope a fix for the encounter crashes will be included in the upcoming hotfix, but that could still be a week away and people are unable to play right now.

Unless disabling the encounters doesn’t actually stop the crashing for some reason, I don’t know why they are still enabled.

Pretty much this, and its why the hotfix came out 5 hours ago (4 hours after you posted). And not a week later.

Apparently the encounter-related crashes were not resolved in this hotfix.
