This seems to be a known bug that prevents using while overencumbered. Try cleaning out your inventory and then see if it works

I have greyed out craft buttons with several crafting benches. Sometimes, it works, sometimes, it doesn’t.

Sadly their update notes seem to indicate that this is not a bug, rather it’s a feature. My greatest wish currently is that they reconsider this position.

Until then, I plan to adapt and overcome
