The challenge system for the battle pass is interesting, but can I suggest one thing

Ha! It makes sense, although both should be matked as such.
If you don’t have a crafter for the task and you kill some UC bosses, you eventually get it. There’s a bit of rng in it, but it’s a common drop in the UC. So, rng wise, could be worse…

Well, considering the time it was bugged so as to be non-craftable, it makes sense it’s legendary.

Still twchnically rng, you have to either get a loot drop or find the armorer

I always carry truncheons for me and my thralls. The problem is switching them out for my thrall’s weapons before they kill the NPC I’m trying to get.

No, you’re totally right, there’s still RNG involved in finding the armorer. In fact, the RNG for the Temperwright might be worse than the RNG for the Bindings of the Dead.

The only mitigating factor here is that it’s an upfront, one-time RNG “fee” you pay. You don’t have to go through the RNG every time you get the challenge, but rather once before you get the challenge. That said, it would be better if the challenges involved as little RNG as possible, preferably none.

By the way, the loot drop won’t help you with this challenge, because you need to craft a legendary tool. Picking up the item doesn’t trigger the challenge completion.

Really? I tend to pile up Fias from the Pagoda.

Uuhhh that’s right. Craft! Then it’s a whole lot of rng if you don’t have the right crafter!
Do you know if the challenges are somehow bound to the character’s level?

Maybe I should try grinding Pagoda the next time I create my character. I usually get my temperwright from the Sepermeru area. Apart from the city itself, there are 4 nearby spots where a T3 armorer normally spawns, that have a chance of spawning a temperwright.

Thanks for the tip!

That wouldn’t make any sense. Your BP progress and all your entitlements are linked to your Funcom account, not a specific character. Challenges are part of that, too. That’s why you can drop out of multiplayer and deal with the challenge in single-player. The challenges remain the same.

This is why they say “no good deed goes unpunished”:

Enjoy completing the challenge using the legendary kits, because we’re going back to the old status quo as soon as they release a new patch.

Sorry to hear that, I also hate when this happens, one just goes somewhere while not caring what spawns there, just being on the way for something else and out of sudden some rare T4 appears.

So you run back as crazy, giving your followers strict comands to MOVE, RETURN, GO, and still when you look back, you see those green life bars not giving a damn about your orders and vanishing beyond the horizon, while those red lifebars lowering and dissapearing forever…

Lucky me, I just scored a Bindings of the Dead recipe on Siptah last night.

i do one set with xp bonus per day.

Then i do my own thing.

No mentally draining or rapid grinding for me. You get no bonus for finishing the battle pass quickly.

I can’t see how finishing BP could anyone take more than 3 months. As was stated before: Stack multipliers, do rare and legendary challenges and you are done in two weeks without suffering.

That 2 days grind would make me hate this game, speaking for myself. I finish 3-4 levels each day and that’s enough. It was just pain to wait for the lvl 41 (cypress tree), from there it’s just “why not finish it”.

I hope there will be more green stuff in the next BP and Bazaar eventually. And less warpaints.

Bragging rights for having the wicked-looking tree in front of your base.

Rerolls haven’t been kind to me in the last few days, but I’m at level 56 and learned a new thing yesterday: Sand reaper larvae (south of the Tower of Siptah) count as “oozes” for the challenge. Killing two of those for 1500 BP experience was one of the more cost-effective ways to level up the Pass since I was in the neighborhood anyway - and completing that one gave me a “Kill a world boss” challenge, so the Reaper queen had to go, too.

It took me about this time when i started the game to make a round in the map, “thinking” that i learn this small map, that after all these years it never fails to teach me things i didn’t knew. Back then the content of the game was less than 20% than it is now if we add Siptah too! The content is big and if this game won’t do the click to the player that did to most of us, it’s very difficult! You have to love it to continue playing it for many reasons even technical. So yes if a player who starts this game isn’t in love with it, the bp can be tricky because the content of the game is huge and not all the players love YouTube or wiki.

Ah so you discovered something by playing the game -thats the devs point.

So looks like the BP and sorcery are pretty good.

Thank you.
