I am so absolutely done with this absolute joke of a game. Anybody who tries to tell you Conan Exiles has good PvP is either completely braindead or they are one of the pathetic track star cowards who abuse this broken system. There is literally ZERO skill involved here. I mean NONE. You spend days grinding, farming mats, crafting the best gear just to finally get into a fight, and what actually happens. The exact second you land ONE good hit or they realize they might actually lose, they just turn around and sprint.
And they just run. And run. And just RUN.
It is not even a survival game anymore, it is a glorified game of tag for cowards. You end up chasing these runners across half the map, over mountains and through the desert, and because the combat mechanics in this trash bin of a game are so outdated and clunky, it is literally impossible to catch them. The second you press the attack button to try and hit them in the back, your character stops moving to do some stupid long animation while they just keep jogging away unharmed. WOW. SO FUN. AMAZING COMBAT DESIGN.
Where is the skill. There are no actual tactics, no reading your opponent, no mind games. It is just who has more stamina and who is a bigger coward. And do not even get me started on the hitboxes when someone is running away from you, they are completely non existent. You can be right on top of them, swinging at their spine on your screen, and the server just ignores it because of the terrible desync. Then they just roll spam away or keep sprinting until you give up out of sheer boredom.
It is the most unrewarding, infuriating, poorly designed PvP experience I have ever seen in my life. I play games to actually fight people, not to be a personal trainer for a bunch of virtual marathon runners. I am completely sick of this trash runner meta, sick of this busted combat system, and done with this game. I am uninstalling this garbage right now and I am never touching it again. Save yourselves the headache and play something where the devs actually know what they are doing.
