I am starting to feel the hype of may 5th. getting closer and closer, not only the upgrades itself, but we got a taste of it already on official servers, so many people transfering in and fitting right into the communities, we had the most amazing night welcoming in people from Siptah, i cant even imagine how it will be on release day, only like a week away now, i have a feeling this will blow up (in a good way) and bring back so many players, new and old ![]()
good for you
a lot of people are starting to get anxiety thinking of the update and howw everything is being handled. Include the one transfer per account per day and apparently the slot limit for transfers, people are starting to be really frustrated. And that doesnāt include console and epic/gamepass players who are just excluded.
but hey, glad you are having fun
Yeah, if this launch is smooth, I feel conan will get a nice size player base, which hopefully means more content for the future.
But gotta be cautious, their launches are always the smoothest.
Do you remember the day before the (first) introduction of Live Settlements?

Do you remember what happened the day after?

āwhere are my thralls??ā, āall my T4 goneI!ā, āplease rollback!!ā
tic-tockā¦tic-tock..tic-tockā¦

ā¦the storm is coming again, and this one is stronger
To allow for some fair criticism. A company that barely, if at all, communicates with its players, leaves them in the dark, whether consciously or unconsciously, and simply drops an announcement out of the blue about a new engine that is supposed to work despite the endless bugs and some very āadventurousā coding ā all whilst overlooking an outstanding modding community that now largely sees its work, which has kept the game alive throughout the years of silence, under threat ā as a long-time player, I am unfortunately not on the āIām excited!ā state, but am instead more concerned with āHow can I limit the damage as a server host as much as possible?ā. Iām glad youāre excited, but Iām not, given the appalling communication in the past.
Iād really like to look at it as positively as possible. Thatās what Iām trying to do, but Funcom still has to prove itself here, and Iām afraid itās going to be more of a storm than a fresh spring breeze.
My thoughts are with the server hosts and the mod Creators. If it all turns out āfineā in the end, Iāll sincerely apologise for my scepticism. I promise But the poor communication (or rather, the complete lack of it) remains. I understand the need for a certain degree of ācorporate secrecyā, but itās about time they spoke to us fairly and openly, because weāve been loyal and have āgone along with thingsā in many ways. Iād be happy with just a simple response to my BUG posts. Just a āWeāve identified the issue, replicated it and are working on it.ā I donāt really mind how long it takes to fix things; Iām patient. But nothing puts me off more than⦠dirt? Anyway, I donāt want to spoil your excitement; Iām glad youāre happy, but Iāve got mixed feelings so i play nutshell from Alice in Chains and cuddle my conan stuffed animal, maybe on Release i switch to Dangerzone from Kenny. ![]()
look at the positives, the port is done by inflexion and not FC ![]()
on the other hand, their only game is Nightinggale and that is quite meh
I have, thus far, been very impressed witht the approach and results of Inflexion in this effort.
You have every reason to be hyped and no reason to hide it . I am happy for steam players and i really hope theyāll get a flawless update and burn their ass while playing
.
@Hyttemaier ,start fresh mate . Forget all the past of this game with āend levelsā and op situations. Start fresh and appreciate every stone, wood or fiber youāll get in your way. Feel the grass while laying down on your bedroll in an empty map , without structures . Climb again to the highest peaks and introduce yourself again to the greatest dangers this game has . But this time with bravery, not the fear we had 8 years ago. Eat them alive like a true barbarian, have fun ![]()
