So the journey steps rewards are boring. How about 3-7 feats points unlock per Journey step complete. I don’t care if they do or don’t add feats points when you complete a journey step. That’s not what I’m excited about. 
Every 4 Journey steps unlocks an armor recipe and matching weapon recipe. The weapon recipes and armors recipes come in epic versions. OMG! That is 25 new weapon and armors. These armors and weapons are special. Example the final armor recipe is a rainbow unicorn the final weapon recipe is a two handed spear that looks like a rainbow unicorn’s horn. OMG! Conan Exiles first rainbow armors and weapons. 
The weapon recipes and Armor recipes are special looking. Each one different. Unicorn armor and weapon!
DLC armors and weapons aren’t goofy. You know you mess up when an unicorn kills you.
