The Purifying Power of the Wheel of Pain

This one has noticed a thing.
Perhaps it is a bug (if so, mild and humourous, not a priority) perhaps a feature.

When captured in the wild, Sorcerers appear corrupted, usually to the utmost.
However, the very moment they are placed into new hire orientation (on the wheel of pain) the trappings of corruption slough off and they appear as hale and hearty as any in the Exiled Lands or on the Isle of Siptah.

This one is left puzzled.

  1. Has anyone else noticed this?
  2. Is this deliberate?
  3. If so, how long until this turns into a very absurd commentary on the renewing power of manual labour?
  4. Is it possible to get a corrupting wheel so otherwise robust prisoners being trained for jobs can come off afflicted and with the appearance of the corrupted? The opposite of how the wheel of friendship cleans the soul?

Weird things happen when a thrall is placed on a wheel of pain. For instance, where (with the exception of Entertainers/Dancers) does their armor disappear to? lol

Recruits brought to basic training are not allowed personally owned gear.

That said, the gear that is magically generated when they leave the wheel is most curious.
Star Metal mace in hand when they were concussed, Star Metal sword when they get off the wheel

But that is all gear.
This is the first time this one has noticed a change to the artificial person grinding the gear

Still, good point.

But, at the same time, they are allowed to keep their weapons?

The weapons they come off the wheel with are not necessarily the weapons they went on the wheel with.
Those are issued gear.
Altho the question of where that gear came from (and where their previous stuff went) is a fair one.
