Of course the logical solution would be to just rollback to a restore point set just before the implemented updated. If they arent doing that, the remaining conclusion is that they CANNOT rollback to just before the update…because they failed to back up the originals prior.
Major FUBAR. Major. I can smell someone getting fired for this incident.
if this is true, there is a major problem, and actions should be took asap to never been in such situation… it’s no more an early game access for a while…
They never roll back and as far as I know and not having backup has been a staple excuse used a few times.
People lost thralls which sunk through the floor and still were alive messing up buildings, players were logging into the homes only to find themselves stuck in foundations and could only get out by wrecking their places so they could climb out. When asked for a roll back because of the patch that caused this they never did that when that FUBAR happened the same as when items disappeared on triangle foundations. Players were left high and dry with chests, thralls and work stations missing.
nobody is getting fire over this at all, this is not the 1st time funcom released something without taking a simple snapshot of the server. Has happened soooooo many times before and sorry to say if I have to look back at the last 2.5 years funcom has consistently broken more working things with patches than actually fixing things.
now the road with hot fixes start to try and sort out their crap. I just can’t believe they go live with this even though it was a known fact how buggy this still was in test live…
It is easier to throw a messed up patch out there and gamers that know how to fix it reply, then their crappy tech can swipe that info. fix the issue and take credit for it
yup for me too this is hard to believe they release on live this patch, i hope the one who took this decision will understand this is not the way to go at all.
Saw alot of vids for this game, was too intuned to WOW since Beta, but after 16 years I thought I would try this “something new”, guess it was a mistake.
I would imagine that they are losing players hand over fist. I know that my 3 kids will never buy/play games from Funcom ever again. I wonder how many gamers are fed up enough to throw away their game!
