re read the definition, its not even for a sale by its wording its for comparative prices, if it has never been for sale at that price, with not even a competitor having prior sold it or a rrp given its an exclusively produced item it can have no prior comparison.

Introductory prices should be advertised as such and the expectation isn’t that the price is slashed but it will increase at a later date.

the law on this is very clear because it is all based around misleading sales.

No introductory prices are entirely different as I explained above, and it should never involve prior knowledge to avoid deception, like for how long the Bazzar has operated or how long a store you go in has been trading, doesn’t work that way sorry.

I think you need to read the definition.

There is NO sale. There is a price for individual items and then prices for bundles. All of them are NORMAL prices. Those prices will be discounted when they do have sales. But there is no Bazaar sale between its introduction (September 1st, 2022) and today (October 29th, 2022).

Using all caps won’t help you be right in this matter, you are just being rude while still being wrong.

like I say reread it, what we have is a price comparison which would be for example: one price with a line slashed through it, the other the current sale price without it.

I literally chatted with the guy who set this stuff up and quoted them.

If you think he is lying, then make a report to the authorities. You and I both know you are wrong on this.

Slightly cheaper to buy bundles compared to individual items. Camping kit for example had a price ‘discount’. It wasn’t a single item, it was three pieces.

it doesn’t matter who you chatted to, and select community members paling up to devs then posing as genuine posters without bias that will try and shout at you in text form is very problematic funcom should seriously reconsider their social policies if they are just sharing information with their favorite community members.

Nowhere does it say bundle price, or even link to a bundle, it’s very simple it has one price with a line slashed through it that it has never been sold at, and its current price, linking to a single item.

I would believe it to be a mistake on their part which could hopefully be clearly rectified however if you insist it be reported to the trading standards commission or the BBB that is easily done by anyone who feels they have been misled over the pricing.

if I need to talk to some guy on the forums that is pals with some guy who setup the store to learn its some kind of a bundle price instead of the item listed then clearly something isn’t setup right here, which is misleading, and still a comparative price.

I was a beta tester and they asked for feedback. When giving that feedback I mentioned they were a little high considering they were already ‘discounted’. The dev who set it up stated it was a bundle and that there was no sale. I quoted their statement above.

This is a known issue. Again this was stated.

Do you believe you were misled? Also why are you quoting actual law and now walking it back to BBB and Trading Standards? Make a report with the European Commission if you actually think a law is broken.

My country isn’t a part of the EU, why are you so hostile and argumentative? you say what is clearly a bad practice as a “Known issue” “again this was stated?”

It was where? it is known when and by whom? sorry I am not on some secret line of communications with the developers, I am just a lowly consumer.

And as a beta tester you yourself say you were confused and needed it explained, this is because any reasonable person would make the same assumption because it is entirely misleading, be that intentional or unintentional it remains funcom’s responsibility to fix.

And they said they would fix it. This is the third time I’ve stated this.

and who are you again?

I’m flattered, but not interested. Try one of those apps.

Go easier on this, I could just as easily be reporting the same thing. And not through a secret backchannel, it could’ve been through one of their Live Streams. I hope you could have a little more patience for @Taemien’s input.

Not that I know how these things work specifically at Funcom, but I control all my own art (digital assets) on my sites, so I can update them effectively at will. A lot of these changes, even to add the word “bundle” might not be problematic for me, but for a game that’s for one thing in wide distribution, plus attempting parity on all platforms, the challenge and limitations are considerable.

If you’re asking for them to note this issue, that would be something few Marketing professionals would ever advise. For now, and until all the art and assets can be updated, I would think “Bundle” must remain implied. That’s the only place I differ with your opinion about messaging.

To be fair, the concern they have about the Bazaar listings not saying bundle is valid. I agree it should say bundle. And it will likely be changed whenever they get around to it.

But I’d say changing a red slash to say ‘bundle’ got pushed back in priority to fix that Crom Coin issue that just got patched. Someone’s opinion on a slash is secondary to someone not getting the Crom Coin they purchased.

But my position is that it should say bundle. I’ve had that position since I originally brought up the issue nearly two months ago. But Rask is wrapped up around the idea that it is me providing this information. I’m simply quoting a conversation I had to show that the thread is having a complaint or joking about an issue that doesn’t actually exist.

Text lines are extremely difficult to add vs bug fixes.
