Gliders. These would allow you to glide through the air at sprint speed. To use this you’d equip a glider from your inventory, jump off of a high enough location (mountain, cliff, tower, ect) and then press the action button. Players could equip higher tier gliders to decrease the rate of descent, and (if possible) move faster.

Furniture Interaction feature and Thrall relax Command. Though technically it’s already possible to “interact” with furniture, it’s not actually possible to lay in Beds or sit down in chairs. Adding these options would bring more life in my opinion and pave the way for more features. For instance, sitting in a chair or Bed for more than 5-10secs could allow for health regeneration and a temporary stamina buff. Also, players could command their thralls to relax. Thralls would then use nearby furniture, walk around, and/or sit on the floor.

And perhaps more places to build in the desert in the south. There’s a vast amount of open space down there, yet I find it silly how so little of it can be built upon. The closer you go to the middle, the more players there are with bases, meaning a higher probability of being looted. My thinking is that the extreme ends of the desert (or other no build zones) would be a place were players could have a better chance of progressing their bases in peace. Or for players who want to build their bases out horizontally instead of vertically
Gliders likely won’t work. Same as any other mount. The game was built for controller input to affect the character only. About the only way I see this working is if the glider was cosmetic and applied a buff that allowed the glide to actually take place.
The second problem for mounts is moving too fast. So best case, sprint speed for a character would be the absolute maximum you could achieve.
It’s possible to lie on a bed. Just position your toon on it and then activate the sleep emote.
I once build a Khitan chair and standing close to it, I was proposed to press the square button (I’m on a PS4), I did it and found my toon sitting on the chair. I don’t know if it’s possible with any other chairs or any other furnitures in the game.
Ok, I know by posting this it’s going to change, but right now this thread is located directly under a thread titled: Duping, Chests, Broken Avatar Bubbles.
Just thought it an amusing coincidence that “Things I wouldn’t mind seeing.” is located right below that.

Sounds fun. You’ve been playing Minecraft, haven’t you?

Would be nice.
Gliders can work if you think as them as being an extension to the character. Simply add some wings made of plant fibers and/or feathers to the character’s back and you have a feature that allows people to glide down mountains. Takes far too long to travel from one end of the map to the next, (or even the middle for that matter). Though I find it silly how these limitations preventing mounts from being added weren’t addressed when the game itself was being made, I don’t think these limitations are an excuse for no compromises such as this one
Gliders or any other type of flying has been unequivocally shot down, it’s not going to happen. A decision I’m quite happy with personally.
It really doesn’t. If you use the obelisks you can get from one end to the other in a few minutes tops, including running time on either end.
It’s not silly at all.
The game wasn’t designed for mounts. Not every fantasy game has to automatically have mounts. That isn’t how it works.
They built the game from the ground up, the way they wanted to. It was only later that gamers started spouting off that they wanted mounts.
At this point, it would require a massive undertaking to rewrite how the game itself works.
Having played the game, I never saw any problem with getting across the map. It’s just the young generation tends not to have patience anymore.
